Author's Note: I know, I know. This story isn't exactly the best, but I thought it would be fun to have the group watch Cops. I was watching it last night, and I started thinking about this, and... well, look what happened. Somebody ate Alpha-Bits and puked them up in the form of fanfiction. Yes, this is my first CSI fic, so please don't barbeque me. Save that for some of the other crap I have yet to post.

"What're you watching?"

Stella looked away from the TV mounted on the wall. Lindsay stood right behind her, looking at the television curiously. "Cops," Stella replied, grinning sheepishly. "It's a really good show."

Adam poked his head out from the lab. "Did someone say Cops?" he asked, hurrying out to join the pair. "Wha'd I miss?"

"Not much," Stella answered. "They're answering a domestic call. There's supposed to be a drug bust and a car chase coming up, though."

"Nice!" Adam pulled up a few chairs. "I love car chases!"

"Where are they?" asked Lindsay, gratefully taking a seat between Stella and Adam.

Stella shrugged. "Somewhere in Nebraska, I think."

Adam groaned in mock dismay. "Aw man, nothing good happens in Nebraska!"

"What about Nebraska?" The trio looked behind them.

"Oh, hey, you two," said Stella. "Pull up some chairs. We're watching Cops."

"And they're in Nebraska?" Don asked as Danny grabbed another chair.

"I think so," Stella said. "Why do you ask?"

Don shrugged. "I know a few people down there, and every time this show is set in Nebraska, I look for them."

"One of my cousins was on Cops," Danny said offhandedly. "Can't remember why, but I think I recorded it."

"Shhh!" hissed Adam. "The car chase is next!"

The group was quiet for about fifteen minutes. And that was how Mac found his team in the middle of their case.

"What do you think you're doing?" he asked incredulously.

"Ah, Mac! Join us!" offered Danny, pulling another chair from somewhere beside him.

"You're supposed to be running the trace we got from our Jane Doe this morning!" he exclaimed. "What the hell are you watching?"

The group exchanged nervous glances. "Uh, Cops?" offered Adam nervously. "It's the best show on TV!"

Mac was about to tell them just where to stuff the TV, but the retort died in his mouth. "Fine. At least it's semi-work-related," he said. "After they beat the crap out of that guy and find drugs in his car and he denies knowing anything about it, get back to work."

"It's no fun if you spoil the ending, Mac!" Don called after him as he walked away.

Danny suddenly started laughing. "What's so funny?" asked Lindsay, as Danny fell out of his chair. Don kicked him.

"Ow! Ass." He sat up, then pointed at the TV. "Anybody recognize that guy?"

The others stared at the TV in disbelief. "Is that…?" began Adam with a grin.

"Sid?!"

"No freakin' way!"

"It is him!"

"Hey Sid!" called Stella as said coroner walked down the hall. "You're on TV!"

Sid winced. "Tell me you aren't watching Cops."

Five vigorous nods answered him. "So, let's hear it, Sid!" pressed Don. "What happened?"

With an air of resignation, Sid joined them. "I was driving to a meeting in Nebraska, and I had the radio on real loud. I wasn't trying to lead them on a chase. I just didn't hear the sirens." He grinned. "But all I got was a speeding ticket."

All five looked rather put out. "Well, that's no fun," Adam mumbled.

"Tell me about it," agreed Danny.

Stella shrugged as she turned off the TV. "Well, it's over, anyways. Everyone back to work."

Final note: Yes, I got one of those lines from Baby Mama. It fit so perfectly! Anyways, tell me what you think. Good? Bad? Awful? Your call.
