"You know Jake," Georgia Jones said, "You are so irresponsible"
"I am not irresponsible," Jake replied to his ex-wife, "I'm fun loving"
"FUN LOVING? IS THAT WHAT YOU CALL IT! WELL YOUR 'FUN LOVING' attitude is irresponsible. You haven't paid what you owe in the last 7 months"
"Georgia"
"No," Georgia said, "I let it slide enough. This time you're going to have to learn a lesson."
"Oh my GOSH," Jake said, "This is why the kids think you're 'serious mom'"
"Oh you think it's so easy," Georgia asked getting an idea, "Well guess what? This time you're going to learn something about easy and not easy because I am going to give you temporary custody of the kids for the ENTIRE year"
She hung up.
"Oh that'll teach him," Mrs. Blue said sarcastically, "Why don't you go get him a new wardrobe to really drive home the point and if you want to punish him further you could get him a new car."
"He thinks it's all about fun and games," Georgia said, "Let's see how he handles it when Cece glues a fish to Flynn's forehead or when Flynn gets sick and he has work the next day. I think I chose the perfect consequence for Jake"
"Why don't you just stop him from seeing the kids," Mrs. Blue suggested, "You know kind of like an adult grounding"
"Tried it once," Georgia said, "Heard nothing but 204 message on my answering machine about how 'unfair' I was to do that to him and it's not even fair to the kids and he only gets to see them during their break and summer and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah! By message number 43 I was calling him and apologizing and I actually let him take them the following week instead giving them a weeklong school vacation."
"You did that?"
"Message number 24 had me in tears," Georgia replied.
Mrs. Blue laughed.
"You're a big softie you know that right?"
"Exactly," Georgia said, "But now he's going to learn a lesson"
