It was a summer morning, and Dean Winchester had just woken up. Sam was at the nearest library, doing some research on Wendigo's. Dean was lying on the couch in his room at the Sunshine Inn. He rubbed his eyes, and stretched. Castiel, sitting in a chair across the room, staring at the wall with a blank face was startled when Dean said, "Good morning, Cas. How long have you been here?". "Oh. You are awake. I have been here for about…" the angel trailed off. "Cas… Have you been here all night?" Dean asked with a suspicious face. "Yes,I have Dean." Castiel replied. Dean just groaned and got off the red, stained couch. He walked over to the small kitchen that was in his room, and got a beer out of the fridge. "You want anything?" Dean asked Castiel. "No thanks." Answered the angel. Dean walked back over to the couch, and sat down. Castiel walked over to join him, and Cas sat down beside Dean with a thud. Dean popped open his beer and started drinking. He didn't have to look over to feel the stare the angels bright blue eyes imprinted on Dean. When Dean looked over towards the angel, his arm twitched and he spilled some of the drink on the Angels under shirt. Dean gasped, along with Castiel. "Sorry, Cas." Dean said, quickly grabbing a napkin that was sitting on the coffee table in front of them. Dean took off Castiel's beige trench-coat, then Dean then softly dabbed the area on Castiels shirt where he had spilled the drink. Millions of thoughts were going through Dean's mind, mostly wondering what Cas would think. Both of them sat there, speechless until Dean came to the conclusion that the stain wasn't coming out. Dean told Cas, and Cas got up, and walked over to the washing machine, conveniently placed in Dean's hotel room. Castiel then took off his shirt and threw it in. He looked very confused, so he asked Dean, "How do I make it work?", so Dean walked over to Castiel and started the machine. Standing a few inches away from Castiel, Dean very much wanted to plant a huge kiss on the angels soft lips. Dean looked away from Castiel, and walked over to the closet. He grabbed a shirt out and handed it to Cas. "Here, Cas, wear this." Castiel thanked Dean and put the shirt on. Dean looked away again and bit his lip.
Castiel, confused as to what Dean was doing, said, "Dean, did I upset you?". Dean replied with a solemn no. "Dean, sit down." Castiel demanded in a soft voice. Dean did just that. "Are you okay?" the angel asked with confusion. "Yeah Cas. It's just a human thing." Dean replied in a reassuring voice. Castiel was very suspicious as to what Dean's deal was. There was a long silence, but finally, Castiel softly said, "Dean, I like you… Very much.". Dean's heart nearly stopped. He looked up at the angel, and he made a face. "I'm sorry Dean… if I made you mad… I should have kept my mouth shut. I don't know what I was-" Dean interrupted Castiels apology with a kiss. Feeling the sensation of finally kissing Cas, and feeling Castiel's soft, cracked lips on his own, Dean deepened the kiss. He put his heart into this kiss, and he wondered what Castiel was thinking. Castiel did not object. He was comfortable with the kiss. And from that point forward, Dean knew that this would not be the last kiss. And that Castiel loved him too.
