No, not this place, not their home. Newt Scamander and his husband, Percival Graves, had just moved into a newly built home, out in the country. Devastated, he floo-ed to his husbands work, at the MACUSA and prepared to tell him the awful news.

"Don't worry, Newt. Home is where the heart is," Percival told him.

"But, it had everything we ever needed! It was perfect!" Newt cried hard into Percival's shoulders then.

"Call your mom, we'll stay with her until we find another place to live, okay? Look at me," said Percival.

Looking into his electric blue eyes, he calmed himself. They would make it through this, they would.

Once Newt was back out in the streets, he went over to a large payphone, and dialed his mum.

"Mum, I'm calling to let you know, we're coming home. Yes mama, we're coming home, both of us. Oh Pumpkin pie sounds wonderful!"

Once he gave his mother a few more details, he hung up the phone and went to salvage anything that could be left after the fire.

Scrounging just an old suitcase, filled with a few bits and bobs, along with an undetectable extension charm, he went and bought some new clothing for him, and a few pieces for Percival.

He then hailed a cab back to Percival's work, and once he was ready, the went back to Newt's childhood home.

Months had passed, and they still had not found a new home, but, luckily, they had gained custody of Newt's and Tina's 2 month old daughter, Lily. His marriage to Tina was short-lived, lasting only a year, and the only good thing he got out of it was his daughter.

Before Lily was born, Newt very quickly fell in love and married Percival. Well, they did kind of have a fling already going on, hence the divorce.

When they were on their way to look at a new house, fresh on the market, their cab was suddenly flung through time and space.

A bright slew of colours swirled by, flashing brightly against their eyes, Newt pulled Lily in close, with Percival wrapping his arms around them both.

Suddenly, the car ground to a halt, lurching everyone forward. They were safe, for now. Stepping out, the found they were in Cokeworth, England.

Newt saw a muggle couple, with a daughter around a year older than Lily walking along the sidewalk. Stopping them, they found they were the Evan's family, and they were Muggles.

Mrs. Evans gave them their home address and phone number in case they needed more help, while Newt set to work on finding what year they were in. Unfortunately, their cab drivers skin started bubbling, and before them stood Gellert Grindelwald.

Before the muggles got away, Newt pushed Lily into their arms and pushed them away. She would get out of this alive.

Newt and Percival put up a huge fight, trying to gain ground on Grindelwald, but they did not succeed. As they took their last breathes, they whispered one last 'I love you.'
