Hello everyone! This is my first time in the Frozen archives, and I was laying in bed last night thinking about random stuff when it occurred to me that the song No Way Out by Phil Collins from the movie Brother Bear fit Elsa's situation in the prison scene to a T. So I took the time to write it out.
I hope you enjoy, and if you can look up the song online, it's a beautiful song and Phil Collins is a fantastic singer.
Obviously I do not own the song No Way Out by Phil Collins and of course I don't own Frozen, so I'll leave it at that. :)
Please review! Thank you!

Determination gripped Elsa as she fought back the stream of tears that threatened to cascade down her face. Her hands were shackled to the iron clasps and the storm outside grew in ferocity as the swirling storm within her became more out of control. Everywhere I turn I hurt someone, but there's nothing I can say to change the things I've done. she moaned inwardly.
I'd do everything so differently, I'd give everything I've got, but the path I seek is hidden from me now.
My dear Anna, I let you down. You trusted me, believed in me and I let you down.
Of all the things I've hid from you, I cannot hide the shame,
and I pray someone, something will come, to take away the pain.
Icicles formed on the corners of the room, the air grew frigid as Elsa jerked against her bonds, her mind entrapping her as much as the prison that held her.
There's no way out of this dark place,
no hope, no future.
I know I can't be free,
but I can't see another way.
And I can't face another day.
With one final tug of sheer frustration, Elsa escaped her shackles, broke through the prison wall and raced into the blizzard, her fears and pains almost too great for her. All she could think about was how she'd let Anna down. How she'd let her kingdom down. How she'd let her parents down.
There's no way out of this dark place,
no hope, no future.
I know I can't be free,
but I can't see another way.
And I can't face another day.
Short, I know, but I just wanted to use the song for that scene.
Obviously things turned out better in the end for Elsa, but I could just see her thinking the words to this song as she tried to escape the prison that Hans had her put in. Of course she didn't know about Anna being struck in the heart yet, but I could just see her depression at having let everyone down, at being exposed and everything else.
I hope you liked it and please review!
