I own nothing
"Hey Cal," Niko called. "I'm going out for a minute. I'll be back soon."
"Ok," I called back from my spot on the couch.
I waited for the door to close before getting up to carry out my plan. You see, since Nik is always drinking that crappy healthy tea of his, I decided to make a cup of it for him...with a good amount of salt mixed in.
I quickly got out a mug and filled it with hot water. Then, I filled it with a table spoon of salt. I made sure the salt was completely dissolved before putting in the tea bag. Unfortunately, Niko came home three seconds after I put the tea bag in.
"Hey Nik," I greeted cheerfully.
Niko eyed me warily. I don't blame him. I am being strangely cheerfully.
"Hey little brother," Niko greeted, looking at me suspiciously while he took off his coat. "What are you up to?"
"What?" I asked, pretending to be confused. "I just made you tea while you were out. Well, I just added the tea bag when you walked in."
I held out the mug to show him I was telling the truth. He was still looking wary at me and the mug.
"What did you do to it?" Niko asked.
"Nothing, I swear," I told him with fake innocence.
That wary look again. I don't think he believes me.
"Nothing!" I shouted.
Still the same look. He still doesn't believe me.
"I'll take a sip of it if you still don't believe me," I offered.
Niko burst into laughter at that.
"I'm serious."
Niko stopped laughing. He frowned.
"You're not getting sick are you?" he asked, placing his hand on my forehead.
I moved his hand away.
"I'm not sick," I said, rolling my eyes. "I swear that I didn't do anything to it."
I took a sip of the tea, keeping my face straight despite the taste.
"See?"
Nik sighed.
"Well, I guess if you drank it," said Nik, carefully taking the cup, "it's alright."
I could sense that he still didn't believe me. He took a drink of the tea. Only to spit it out a moment later.
"Ugh," he shouted, rushing to the table and grabbing a banana.
I was laughing really hard at this. He glared at me once he got the taste out of his mouth.
"You suck," he said.
"You have to admit it was pretty damn funny," I said still, laughing hard.
"I can't believe I believed you," said Niko, sighing.
"Me either," I said.
Niko glared.
"No hard feelings?" I asked, extending my hand to him.
He shook my hand, nodding. Then, I turned to go get ready for work when Niko speaks up.
"I was thinking of salads for dinner tonight, what do you think?"
Damn.
