Barry's head swam. It was impossible and yet, it made perfect sense… in a weird, psychotic sort of way. He was Savitar. Or at least a version of him was. But why would he kill Iris? Iris was the love of his life he would never, on any earth, want to kill her.
Iris's voice pulled him out of his trance, asking him if he was okay. No, no he wasn't okay but Barry couldn't tell her that… he couldn't tell any of them. This was Iris's family; imagine how they would react if he told them that he is the cause of Iris's death. Joe and Wally would never forgive him. Barry stared at Iris's beautiful face, praying he was wrong but knowing he wasn't.
There was only one way to find out. Barry ran. He had to talk to Savitar. "I'm here!" He screamed to the empty street. "I'm Here!" In less than a minute Savitar's tall form stood parallel to Barry's.
"I know who you are." Barry said after taking off his mask.
"It's about time." Savitar said, his voice gruff and disguised. Barry dared to step closer. Yes, it was. How could he have not figured it out sooner? All this time, everything that had happened. It was all him.
"Everything with you is about time, isn't it?" Rage boiled up inside Barry. "The past, the present, the future… You know all of it." Savitar didn't speak, he just watched expressionless. "And you know everything about me! About Joe, about Wally, and Iris!" Barry held back the tears that he felt coming. The more he talked the more he knew he was right. "You don't just know what's going to happen to us… you were there." It wasn't a question it was a statement that Barry now believed. "You lived it. You remember it." Barry took a deep breath. "When you were me."
Savitar didn't speak, he just dropped to his knees as his suit began to slowly crawl away from his body. A man stood up and a familiar voice spoke.
"Like I told you from the beginning," He said, a smile on his face. "I am the future Flash." Barry glared at his doppelganger with disgust. He had to end this. Now.
Alright that's it everyone, it was kind of short and boring but I just love writing scenes like this. Hope you liked it!
