San Francisco
After breaking up the drive to San Francisco into two days Nick and Jackie finally arrived in the pretty city.
They got checked into their hotel and Jackie was excited that their hotel room had a view, albeit not a great view of the ocean.
"What do you want to do first?" Nick asked once they were settled.
"It doesn't matter, I just want to go exploring." Jackie told him.
"Alright, let's go to the ocean, you'll like that."
"Sounds like a great idea to me." She affirmed.
They walked down to the ocean.
"Brrr, aren't you freezing?" Nick asked as they stood one the beach.
He was in a long sleeve shirt and had a coat on while Jackie had on a short sleeve shirt and just a light jacket.
"Oh honey, you are such wimp when it comes to the cold." Jackie said teasingly, whenever it got the least bit chilly Nick acted like he was in at the north pole.
The weather that day was in the low sixties, to Jackie that was spring weather, although even she had to admit it wasn't warm enough to swim in the ocean.
After staring at the ocean for several minutes they went to the boardwalk and looked around and then had a seafood lunch.
After lunch they went back to their hotel because Jackie's feet were starting to get tired and sore.
While they were in their hotel room Nick was looking through a San Francisco newspaper for fun ideas of what to do.
"Hey would you like to go to a baseball game tonight?" Nick asked.
"Sure, I've never been to a baseball game before, I've been to basketball and football games but never a baseball game so that sounds like fun."
"Alright, the game starts in about an hour so we better get going." He told her.
Jackie quickly freshened up and then they got going.
The game was a lot of fun but it was late when they got back to their hotel so they went to bed.
The next morning they got up and got ready and then went to breakfast before going on a day long tour to some of San Francisco's best tourism attractions.
When that was over they had dinner and then went to bed. The next day was the last day of their vacation.
They chose to go on day long dinner cruise which ended with a romantic dinner under the starry sky.
That was their favorite part of the trip although they had enjoyed all of it.
"This trip has been awesome huh?" Nick asked as he and Jackie lay in bed on the last night of their trip.
"Yes, thank you so much, what an awesome birthday present this has been." She responded.
"You're welcome, I'm glad you had fun." He told her as he leaned over and gave her a kiss.
"As much fun as I had I'm looking forward to going home and seeing the kids, I've missed them so much!" Jackie told him.
"Yeah me too." He agreed whole-heartedly.
It was always fun going on vacation but going home was always wonderful too!
The End!
