This is something I wrote a while ago and its pretty much me thinking of Luffy in a serious note.
Those Who Hide
Those who hide may sound cowardly. Those who those who hide behind masks may sound foolish.
But aren't those who call ones cowardly and foolish ones themselves?
Does hiding behind a smile trying to not show their pain sound deceiving? Laughing like nothings wrong but crying on the inside sound pathetic? And going through hell to rescue someone you care about sound stupid?
Then let me introduce to the captain of these stupid pirates.
Enduring each painful day wearing a smile that says I'm fine while old wounds resurface. Using life threatening techniques almost every day just to have one more adventure with your nakama.
Pushing your body way past your limit for someone that you just befriended. Running around and playing while you struggle not to wince at every step and leap.
Rather die then be alone and rather die to protect ones treasures.
Only lie when you can't truthfully say your alright.
Does this sound like a cowardly,
foolish,
deceiving,
pathetic,
stupid pirate?
Don't tell me.
Tell the one who hides.
