A/N: I've always wondered if there was another motivating factor for Aang kissing Katara at the Ember Island Play. Bad advice, perhaps? Or advice taken the wrong way? Warning: contains Kataangst… sort of. Oh, I love that pun, it never ceases to crack me up. I had to use it. :) Okay, on with the story... oneshot... whatever.

His eyes follow her everywhere when he thinks she's not looking.

The blind earthbender feels their vibrations - his racing heart, her steady one - and wonders how much longer the Avatar will dance around his feelings.

The firebender observes the two of them from the edge of the group with detached curiosity, and the slightest note of concern.

The rest of the group is oblivious. Well, perhaps Suki has noticed. She's more perceptive than she seems.

"Toph?" Aang says one day. "Have you ever liked someone - like, a lot - but then not told them?"

"Yes," she replies shortly as Sokka's wild, manic laugh suddenly echoes through her mind.

"What happened?"

"He got a girlfriend," Toph says, and that is that.

The Avatar tries again. "Zuko," he says. "I need your advice."

"On what?"

"Girls," the airbender says. Zuko snorts, and a puff of flame escapes his mouth.

"Go ask Sokka," he says.

"I did."

"And?"

"And his advice was completely useless. Zuko, you can help me, you have a girlfriend."

"Not anymore," Zuko says, and that is that.

He tries one last time. "Suki?" he asks. "Can I talk to you for a second?"

She looks surprised but says, "Sure, Aang. What about?"

"Um…" He scratches the back of his neck. This was a bad idea - what if she tells Sokka about him liking Katara? He'd be in trouble for sure.

Suki's eyes narrow. "So it's about Katara then."

"Whaa - no!"

She smirks. "Nice try." His shoulders slump.

"Okay… I just - I don't know what to do!" he bursts out, frustrated.

"Just show her how you feel," Suki says. And that is that.
