The Maverick; Extended Summary & Disclaimer

There is only so many times you can hear about how your heroic father saved the entirety of the wizarding world before you start to get sick of it. Albus Potter is long past "sick of it". He crossed that line a long time ago. He can hardly hear the name, "Harry Potter," without wanting to raise a gun to his temple.

Of course, he's plenty used to being in the spotlight, but now, in his seventh and final year at Hogwarts, people have started going missing in the dead of night, and all eyes are on him, thanks to that complete prat Scorpius Malfoy, who's telling everyone that he saw Albus dragging a body into the Forbidden Forest. Okay, so maybe he did – but not for the reason that everyone thinks.

Throw in that new American student, a crazy Charms teacher (who wasn't crazy, until this year, it seems) and midnight trips to the Astronomy tower, and it just couldn't get any worse, really.

I just want to say that most of these characters (most) belong to Jo Rowling, as does the world of Hogwarts. The only things that belong to me are the OCs, and the story itself. I wrote these words, I took a lot of time to write these words, may I add, so plagiarism is prohibited. I hope you enjoy the story! -Amy
