It was so weird, that little boy, that little boy who lived across my street, he always smiled.
The little boy had auburn hair, for the most part it was straight, except a curl that stuck out of his head, for some reason it always stayed. He had prettiest honey brown eyes, that were light enough to almost be amber, but they were slightly darker, I found myself staring into a lot. They had this sparkle to them, and they were so wide, taking in everything they could. Then he had the softest milky white skin, that reminded me of a baby's. He was a few years younger than me, and was shorter.
He was always outside, in the garden, messing with the pretty flowers that didn't compare to his beauty. His brother, who was my age, had a patch in it, where he grew tomatoes, half would be eaten by the older brother, and the other half, the little pretty boy, no the little pretty angel, would make the other half into pasta sauce. A few times he had invited me and my brother over, and I'd been given the pleasure of tasting the sauce.
I smiled, thinking back to that day. I looked out the window. He was usually outside by now, but of course, he wasn't.
Outside, the sky was purely gray, the sun not even showing dull signs of its presence, the flowers all seemed to be wilting across the street, along with the tomatoes.
Finally, after another hour, he came out, but he frowned, his posture was no longer straight, and his head was looking down.
I scrambled from my room, to the door within seconds, opening it, and not caring if it closed as I ran across the street.
The boy, Feliciano Vargas, or Feli, was wearing a black tux, and his tone seemed lighter than normal, as he barely picked his head up.
"..Hi Gil.." he faked a smile, which made me frown. He shouldn't have to fake it..
"Hey," I smiled, waving at him.
"Well.. Today's the day~" he said so delightfully, which made my frown grow. Today was the day of his grandfather, Romulus Vargas' funeral.. Feli was very close to his grandfather, they cooked together, painted together, shopped together, they did nearly everything together.
"..So.." I bit the inside of my lip, trying to start up conversation that wasn't awkward was so hard. "..Well.. Mama and Papa were talking last night," he sniffled, "..They said they're gonna move, this house reminds them of Grandpa too much.."
I frowned a bit, I can't explain why, but I hugged the boy. He cried into my chest, getting tears and mucus on it. In most cases I would be a bit annoyed about getting my my shirt wet from such gross things, but this time, I was a bit happy I was comforting him. I was making him happy, at least by a little bit..
He finally pulled away, a true smile gracing his lips, as I brought my hand up to rid him of those nasty remaining tears, smiling back at him. We just stared at each other for what seemed like an eternity.
I began leaning closer to him, I was so close to kissing him when Lovino(his older brother)'s voice broke the trance, making Feli pull completely away from me, "IDIOT, IT'S TIME TO GO!"
he frowned, getting into his parent's car. The window was up, but he waved his goodbye to me, and i waved mine to him, as I finally murmured those words I wished I had just a second ago, while he was in my arms.. I could feel tears begin welling up.
"Ich liebe dich Feliciano.. Ich liebe dich.."
Author's Note: I hope you liked this PruIta-ish one shot, and for those of you who don't know "Ich liebe dich' means "I love you" in German… Anyway, bye~!
