Axel leaned against the wall, waiting for Roxas to pass him. He looked calm to the untrained eye but inside he was completely panicking. Roxas was leaving, Axel didn't want him to leave.
So he was waiting here, calmly looking forward. He started when he glimpsed the telltale blonde spikes of his target, standing out in the light.
"So you're really leaving?" He struggled to keep his voice from wavering. Roxas looked at him blankly and nodded slightly.
"I have to know." He held up the keyblade. "I have to find out why it chose me!" A forlorn look came into his eyes and his shoulders slumped in resignation. "No one would miss me anyway."
Axel's composure shattered. He reached over, clenching his teeth as he gripped Roxas' wrist tightly. "Don't leave."
He saw alarm flit into Roxas' eyes and struggled with him as he started trying to pull away. "Axel, stop! I have to go!"
Axel renewed his determination. "I won't let you!" He turned and push him against the wall, holding his hands above his head. His struggles were void. Axel was bigger and stronger than him.
Axel flinched when he felt Roxas' foot hit his stomach. He grunted with the effort of holding him in place. "You can't leave me!" He yelled.
"What do you me- Mmph!" His question was silenced when Axel's lips crashed down onto his. His emotional floodgates opened wide.
Axel smirked into the kiss when Roxas started responding, passion rivaling his own. He removed his grip on his wrists and felt the blonde's arms wrap around his neck, their lips moving feverishly.
They pulled away to breath and a blinding smile lit up Roxas' face. Axel felt a small smile find it's way to his own mouth and he sighed softly.
"I love you Axel." The shy whisper met his ears and a warm feeling filled him. "I love you too, Roxie." He felt a glare from the boy at the use of his nickname and chuckled softly.
"Hey, Roxas." He looked up and Axel placed another gentler kiss on his lips. "I would miss you." Another bright smile filled his face.
