Khorgan stood victorious yet again. It seemed as if no mortal could stand before his blades. All who opposed him ended up in a bloody heap upon the already blood-soaked ground.
Another challenger stepped forward, this one just as foolish as the rest of the fallen champions; he couldn't tell when he had been bested. No matter, all Khorgan cared about was offering more skulls to the Blood God. The fool of a challenger made a series of attacks, all of which were effortlessly deflected by Khorgan. In return, Khorgan's blades flashed out three times. The first knocked the marauder's weapon out of his hand, the second spilled his entrails, and the final blow took off his pathetic head. Shortly after the lifeless corpse hit the ground, a figure, cloaked in shadows, stepped up behind the victorious warrior.
"It seems your offerings are never-ending, Warlord Khorgan," the figure hissed in a decrepit voice.
"It matters not if I have to kill every last one of them, I will." Khorgan snarled. Then, a thunderous roar echoed through the trees.
"It appears that you have yet another challenger…" replied the stranger.
With that, a gigantic Minotaur stepped out from the trees, a pair of massive axes held in its immense hands.
"Yes, this shall be a great and bloody offering to my god!" roared Khorgan, charging toward the Minotaur.
The battle raged for hours, neither warrior being able to best the other. Khorgan stepped back, reassessing his opponent before lunging at him once more. The Minotaur, being much heavier, braced his feet and braved the coming onslaught with a growl of hatred for the puny man, knowing what was to come. More blows were exchanged and the sound of clashing steal rang through the air. Suddenly, the Minotaur brought its legs down into the armored warrior's chest, knocking him back. The Minotaur charged horns first and impaled the warrior through the abdomen and threw him high up into the air. Khorgan fell several feet away with a heavy thud. As the warrior slowly got up, a shadow loomed over him from behind. Just as he turned, he saw one of the Minotaur's axes descend towards him. The axe
buried deep into his shoulder and chest. With a savage pull, the blade came free. With a stubborn growl, the warrior tried to make one final swing with his own axe, but before his blade could reach the Minotaur, the creature's other axe took Khorgan's head off his shoulders. Khorgan's corpse fell to the ground, joining the rest of the corpses.
Raising Khorgan's head to the heavens, the Minotaur roared, "Blood! Blood for Blood God!"
"It appears the gods grew tired of you, Khorgan." chuckled the cloaked man. "Hail Doombull Kalor!" he cheered, turning to the victorious Minotaur.
A faint smile spread upon Kalor's face as he raised his axes. "Now you die, sorcerer!" He roared, bringing his axes down upon the man before he could react.
The sorcerer too, fell to the ground in a bloody heap.
After slaying the warlord and the weakling sorcerer, Kalor turned towards the remaining marauders. With a bellow in its guttural tongue, Minotaurs, Centaurs, and beats of all sorts came rushing out of the forest, surrounding the remaining marauders. With another roar, kalor charged into the ranks, his axes cutting a bloody path. Behind the mortals, the rest of Kalor's warriors charged into the flanks. Soon, every last human was slain, their skulls offered up to the Blood God and their flesh to be consumed by the Minotaur's.
Just then, a large beast came out from the trees carrying a twisted staff. Everyone moved out of his way, their heads bowed in fear of the Bray-shaman. Once he reached the gorging Doombull, he spoke. "You have done well, Doombull Kalor. But more work is to be done for the Blood God."
