"It Doesn't Matter"
This is a songfic on how I think that Chi-Chi- was feeling in the last ep. of DBZ, just before and when Goku is leaving. *******************************************
"Doesn't Matter"
Chi-Chi watched her husband fighting the young boy form the room Videl had gotten for her and her friends to watch the tournament. Her husband, Goku had been training for years for this moment, and Chi-Chi realised she hadn't seen him so happy for ages.
....It doesn't matter what I want, It doesn't matter what I need....
Suddenly, the two fighters halted their attacks. Goku was extatic; this was what he had wanted for so long, and now that he had his chance, he was going to seize it. He was going to train the boy.
....It doesn't matter if I cry, Don't matter if I bleed....
Chi-Chi drew in a sharp breath. As she looked at Goku, a sudden feeling of despair and loneliness washed over her. In that instant, she knew he was again going to leave her. And though it hurt her to realise it, this would make him happier than if he stayed with her. Goku probably didn't realise it however.
....You've been on a road, Don't know where it goes or where it leads....
In the ring, Goku had finished telling Uub his plans, to which the boy agreed. Goku looked upp to where he knew his family and friends were watching. His eyes met Chi-Chi's for a moment and for that brief second he could see her thoughts:
....It doesn't matter what I want, It doesn't matter what I need, If you've made up your mind to go, I won't beg you to stay....
Slowly swallowing, his heart breaking apart knowing that he would be hurting his one true love so badly, Goku flew up to he window and told the others of his plans.
....You've been in a cage, Throw you to the wind you fly away....
Chi-Chi's eyes began to fill with tears, but she held them in for now. Goku noticedthis and began to slowly hover away. "Thanks for understanding, you guys" he whispered to his friends and family, though mostly to his wife, who's pain was beginning to show in large amounts.

Gohan saw his mother's devestation and yelled back at his father, "But we don't understand!" Goku smiled weakly and floated down to Trunks, Goten and Vegeta to say his good-byes. Chi-Chi felt she couldn't hold back the tears any longer, so she let them flow freely from her eyes.
....It doesn't matter if I cry, Don't matter if I bleed....
To her, it didn't matter anymore if she cried. It wasn't going to stop Goku now that his mind was set. The tears rolled over her cheeks, burning skin in their wake.
....Feel the sting of tears, Falling on this face you've loved for years....
Goku looked back at his beloved wife one last time. Seeing her cry almost made him stop, but a fleeting glance let the couple know how each other felt about them. With that, Goku was gone, and Chi-Chi fell apart in Videl's arms.
