M'kay!This was truly written out of boredom.I wasn't gonna post this up but I guess I can now.Its a Christmas fic kinda sorta, not really.Better late than never, right?
Ino stared at Shikamaru expectantly.
"So you didn't get her anything?"Ino asked.Shikamaru kept his head rested on the table. Ino sighed and without warning slapped Shikamaru.
"God, Ino what the hell is your problem?"Shikamaru yelled. Ino grabbed Shikamaru and dragged him from his spot.
"Come on.We're getting Temari a gift."She said.Shikamaru rolled his eyes and allowed himself to be dragged.
"Like I have a choice." he mumbled. Ino, again, rolled her eyes and continued dragging Shikamaru. As she approached the jewelry store she stopped, her eyes shining like diamonds.
"Get her a necklace." Ino exclaimed, jumping up and down. Shikamaru stood up and brushed himself off.
"What do you think she'd like?" He asked with a slight blush.Ino stopped jumping and turned around to face him.She stared at him dumbfounde before slapping him again.
"I'm not the one dating her!You are a bad boyfriend." Ino scolded. Shikamaru gripped his aching head and pushed past Ino mumbling, "What a drag." and "Troublesome."
"What about this?Its so pretty!"Ino exclaimed.She held up a sapphire heart necklace with diamonds surrounding it. Shikamaru shook his head, causing Ino to sigh heavily.
"Fine.How 'bout this." Ino now held up a golden chain with diamond pendant.Shikamaru shook his head,yet again, and wandered over to the rings.
"Hey Shika-"Before Ino could finish,Shikamaru walked past her with a small velvet black box wrapped neatly in a red ribbon.
"What's that?"Ino questioned, clinging onto Shikamaru. He shook her away and continued to his destination. Ino sighed and eyed the box suspiciously.
Temari sat at Ichiraku's, staring at her ramen in slight disinterest when...
"HEY TEMARI!"Echoed through her head. She sat up, startled.
"Hi Ino."She slowly stood up and walked over to her semi-friend.
"Hey Temari."Shikamaru said.Temari smiled at him slightly. Shikamaru took a deep breath and lowered himself down on one knee, pulling the small box from earlier out of his pocket. Temari gazed at him questioningly.He opened the box to reveal a white gold aquamarine and diamond ring.Temari's eyes widened.
"Temari, I know we've hardly known each other 6 months bu I've fallen inlove with you and I don't know what I'd do if I lost you.So I ask you,infront of all these people, will you be Mrs.Temari Nara."Temari stared at him mouth slightly agape.Everyone in the shop also were quiet, anxiously waiting for her answer.Even Ino,the loudest female in Konoha, remained silent.After opening and closing her mouth a few times, Temari gave up and nodded instead. Applause and laughter filled their ears.as Shikamaru stood up and pulled Temari into a tight and loving embrace.
"Merry Chirstmas, babe."Shikamaru whispered in Temari's ear.She smiled and hugged him tighter.
"Merry Christmas."She said, placing a chaste kiss on his cheek.
"Woohoo!So...am I the maid of honor?"Ino asked.
