Hey! So this has been floating in my head for months and I had to write it. I was originally apart of Shuffle Challenge but I wanted to posted this separate. Done in a hurry so be nice :)
You have a way of coming easily to me
Massie always laughed when she and Harris first got together. It was only natural. She was best friends with his brother's girlfriend and one time at the Slice O' Heaven they bonded.
And when you take, you take the very best of me
so I start a fight cause I need to feel something
And you do what you want cause I'm not what you wanted
It was amazing at first. It was more of a joke thing before it was serious. It was a cute, flirt-texting. But as the joke progressed Massie, started to take it more seriously. She would try to joke fight with him just have girlish moment.
"Harris! Come on! This jacket can actually keep you warm!" Massie said trying not laugh to loud in Martin-Osa. But Harris was more interested in the blonde in Blake Lively esque attire.
Oh what a shame, what a rainy ending given to a perfect day
Just walk away, no use defending words that you will never say
And now that I'm sitting here thinking it through
I've never been anywhere cold as you
But they were over now. He just played her for the naïve 8th grader she was.
You put up walls and paint them all a shade of gray
It was another night in the Harris and Massie chronicles. But unlike most couples they weren't kissing during a movie. They were sitting in his room silent. He was going through another 'High School Meltdown' that she couldn't understand.
And I stood there loving you and wished them all away
But Massie didn't give up. She was Massie Block and wrote the book on sweeping things under the carpet.
And you come away with a great little story
of a mess of a dreamer with the nerve to adore you
But of course the charade that had been going on for four months came to an end. Massie cried and Harris bragged to his friend about the 'Hot but self-absorbed eight grader who was in love with him'
You never did give a damn thing honey but I cried, cried for you
And I know you wouldn't have told nobody if I died, died for you
Massie couldn't believe she let herself fall for him the way she did. She wasn't supposed to be crying when they broke up. They were supposed to be laughing at the joke that now was only funny to Harris.
Every smile you fake is so condescending
counting all the scars you made
And now that I'm sitting here thinking it through
I've never been anywhere cold as you
Now Massie dreads going over to his house with Claire. She can't take the way he smiles at her and jokes with her whenever Mrs. Fisher is around.
Because to him she's just another little 8th grader
So? I think it was good but what do I know? You should review and let me know :) and check out Open Your Eyes also written by me.
