My first attempt at both Weeds and Glee. Unorthodox, I know, but they just....fit somehow. This takes place right after Season 3 of Weeds, after Agrestic is burned to the ground. The Botwins still relocate, but instead of moving farther south to see Judah and Andy's grandmother, the make a move to stay with someone from Nancy's side of the family.

Please R & R!

Nancy's hands were shaking, so she gripped the handles on the Segway tightly enough to turn her knuckles white. It was all behind her now. The house, the drugs, Judah. She swallowed a lump in her throat.

No, don't go there, she scolded herself. This is the right choice for everyone.

She whipped out her cell phone and dialed. After a few rings he finally picked up. "Andy, grab the kids. We're running… Yes, running… Just do it! … Well, then, don't make me yell." She flipped the phone closed and took a deep breath. Yes, this was going to work out fine.

Six hours later the four Botwins found themselves snacking on potato chips and warm sodas at a rest stop somewhere along the California/Nevada border.

"Can I ride with you?" Silas asked Andy. "Mom's car smells like gas."

"Nance, why does your car smell like gas?" Andy didn't like when Nancy prompted everyone into action like this without explanation. It always ended badly.

"Agrestic is on fire, I'll bet we all smell like gas," she munched idly on her Doritos.

"But it was a wildfire. Wildfires don't smell like gas," Shane observed.

Damn him for being the brains of the bunch. Nancy rolled her eyes. "Alright, fine! I smell like gas because I burned the house down, okay?"

The three men in her life were stunned to silence. She closed her eyes, not able to deal with the obvious hurt and betrayal on their faces. "The wildfires were sweeping through Agrestic," she continued. "It was going to happen anyway. I just… assured that it would."

"That was our home!" Silas bellowed, barely restraining his wounded arm in its sling.

"'Was' being the operative word, Silas. There's nothing left for us there now. We're going to start fresh. It'll be good for us."

"You mean good for you," Shane sulked.

Nancy pursed her lips. "Fine. Be mad at me." She sipped her soda. "You'll thank me someday. Everybody back in the car now."

"Where are we going?" Silas asked.

"Well, kids" Nancy opened the driver-side door to her hybrid, watching as the boys followed Andy to his van, "we're going to see your Aunt April."
