My ears rang making the side of my skull pound, every cell in my body felt as though it were vibrating as adrenaline coursed through my veins. My eyes fluttered open and I groaned the world was blurred till I blinked. Asphalt, dirty asphalt was all I could see and a brick wall. It took every fiber of my strength to turn my head lifting it, a single bit of light fluttered down from the long length of brick surrounding each side of me.

I grunted lifting myself up onto my knees, my outfit was torn and dusty looking as though I had been through hell and back. I twisted my head to the right again when a loud sound emanated from the fluttering light. I pushed myself to a standing position wavering on my weak and tired feet. I pressed my sore and bleeding hands to the brick wall. I slowly moved along my touch never slipping from the brick wall, I could feel each crease in it as I got closer to the light.

I lifted my other hand to cover my eyes that burned from the brightness of the light as my feet carried me slowly. My knees quaked as a feeling of dread rose up in me. I stepped out finally blinking in shock my whole body coming over with a chill of confusion and fear.

Hey there! This is the first chapter of the rewrite, very similar to original prologue. I just cleaned up some of the grammar mistakes I caught now. Going to be posting the rewrite of the next chapter real soon!
