Fool

Let me tell you a story.

It was a long time ago, about a girl and a boy.

She didn't like him because he liked to toy.

She was the princess, he was of the poor.

He wanted her, but she wanted more.

So he started to steal and take other's things.

Didn't care about what trouble he could bring.

He tried to buy her a ring, but she refused.

"I won't take present from a fool such as you."

So he pulled her in his arms and gave her a kiss.

He left without a word, and she touched her lips.

She realized she loved him, it wasn't a lie.

She put him down when all he did was try.

He didn't come back, so she went looking for him.

But time passed by, and her thoughts turned grim.

What if she never found him, never saw him again?

Never heard his snicker or saw his cocky grin?

She sat down and cried for him, look all around.

Guess her surprise at just what she found.

He was with another, said he forgot her face.

Left the princess with tears all over the place.

He lied, tried to make her feel as hurt as he had.

Didn't think it would harm her to learn he was bad.

She felt she had been played, felt like a tool.

Didn't feel like a princess- just felt like a fool.

And the next day, she was found on her thrown.

Died of a broken heart, of being left alone.

He found her and felt his heart begin to cool-

Two broken hearts, two stupid fools.
