Macbeth: A Soliloquy

A/N: Okay so this is just a short one shot soliloquy which was the best in my class so naturally I got an award sorry that seems egotistical let me try that again… This is just something I wrote for a class assignment contest thingy so the teacher liked mine and gave me a present – urgh okay still sounds egotistical – I can't do this anymore! Here's the soliloquy just read and review please.

"Guilt crawls upon my bare flesh, crying out to me and pushing me into confessing my evil intentions involving stealing the crown. I'm drowning in a river of guilt and only the truth who is too far away from me can save me. If only my actions would have no consequences or penalties.

Anon, the clock strikes twelve, if anyone was to bear witness of me being here, in this bedroom, with this dagger that is calling out for Duncan's raw flesh to tear and his crimson blood to pour on its metal blade and satisfy its thirst, then I shall be sentenced to death. Shame shall appear on Duncan's disapproving face for trusting a traitor. The name Macbeth shall be overwhelmed with dishonor and I will bring shame to my ancestors by suffering the ignominy of me being sent to prison. They shall all say farewell to the Macbeth they thought they knew and think of me as nothing more than a murderer…. A cold hearted murderer.

Oh the agony, the torments of the damned. Yes, I also shall become a damned man if I go through this. I cannot bear the excruciation any longer! "

(Takes knife and places it into his own heart).

" Farewell Macbeth, I knew ye well… what's done.. is.. done."

And with that he screams in agony and lands on the floor with a thud).
