this kind of thing is new to me but I'm obsessed with this show so i couldn't resist okay bye
Ezra loves orange.
Kanan prefers green.
Zeb likes purple.
Hera enjoys blue.
Sabine can never decide.
Chopper wishes he could tell the difference.
—
Ezra loves the sunset. He would watch from his tower, where he could see the sky dye in every shade, like the earth below. He loves watching the whites, blacks, and greys being doused in the colour. He loves the orange sand, swirling across the sky and hiding him for view. Ezra takes extra care to wear orange as much as possible. It's a comfort, like a part of his home on Lothal is always with him. So he'll never forget.
—
Kanan always preferred green. Caleb had scowled at the browns of the Jedi temple and his robes. But he loved the green of forest planets. The tint in the oceans. He would always prefer that lively, vibrant to any other. Kanan loves it on Hera. He loves how it's shared it's light and life with him. Even his clothes are all green, an honest accident. He'd only noticed when it'd been pointed out. But, it doesn't matter much to him. It reminds him to live.
—
Zeb's favourite was always purple. Violet. Indigo. Whatever. It coats his fur and reminds him. The bright violet of his Bo-Rifle, matching all those who fought beside him. He doesn't dare show it nor tell anyone, but he likes it the best. He'll hide it under the colours of his home planet, but the colours of his people will always be his favourite.
—
Hera has always liked blue. She enjoys Kanan's green-blue eyes, which he is determined not to categorise as either. She loves the deep blue of Ezra's hair, and brightness of his eyes. She prefers the changing blues of Sabine's hair. She likes the indigo of Zeb, even after his instance that it's more violet. She loves and fears the shining blue of Kanan and Ezra's blades. Of the glowing holocron in Kanan's room. But, she'll always enjoy the blue.
—
There's a reason Sabine can never keep her hair the same. She can't bear showing preference to just one colour; though, she admits to keeping a little blue for Hera. Sabine would change the whole ship periodically if she could, but she's restricted to her room. Sabine finds peace in constantly repainting the walls in the brightest colours she can find. She'll never use grey or white or black, if just to spite the Empire. But, beyond that, she just can't decide.
—
Chopper doesn't understand.
Colours? He's never heard of them.
But it doesn't bother him much.
If it makes them happy, then he'll be happy.
Now, if he could only figure out what colour he is…
