"Life's to short," Squall stood in front of me. Same frown, same know-it-all pose and of course the same bored voice.

"What are you talking about?" I answered with a sigh.

"It's short. There are so many things that I should be doing." Squall looked out of the window at the blond haired tattooed boy running around outside surrounded by a large number of toddlers who were climbing on his legs and torso. Zell got on really well with all the kids from the orphanage.

"What do you do that's longer?" I blurted out and then received a look from Squall.

"What?"

"Tell me one thing that you do that takes longer than living"

Again that same look.

"Rin…"

"Yes" I interrupted. He put his hands on my waist drawing me closer to his. I reached up to trace the scar down his face and then kissed his lips gently. His brown hair fell perfectly across his face and deep blue eyes staring into mine. I rested my head against his chest absently pulling my fingers through his hair.

"Squall?"

"Yeah Rin?"

"Will you?" He groaned pulling me away from his chest slightly and kissing me electrically on the lips. This continued for a few heavenly minutes before breathless we parted.

"Yes"

I grinned and took his hand. I walked outside briskly keeping Squall in tow. Zell raced over and the children quickly followed. I could hear giggles and saw smiles on their faces as I felt an arm creep around my waist. I rested my head gently against Squall's shoulder.

"Children…this is Squall. He's came to play with you."
