Hakkai remembered most distinctly waking up that first morning. It was such a change, wale up with no clothes on, with strong arms wrapped tightly around his waist, with the warmth of another body against his. He smiled to himself. It was a sinfully wonderful feeling. Sex was great and everything, but it was almost more enjoyable just to be silently wrapped up in his lover's arms. He sighed contentedly and closed his eyes, basking in the feeling
More than anything, Gojyo remembered being surprised. When he had woken up that morning Hakkai still in his arms, he had been overjoyed. It was the first time that he had woken up with his lover still present. Not having departed in the middle of the night. Gojyo had held him tight, reveling in the warm breath against his chest. It was the first time he had ever woken up with someone else. He liked the feeling.
And then Hakkai had looked up at Gojyo and smiled. "I love you."
Gojyo smiled back and moved to run a hand through Hakkai's hair. "I love you too."
Hakkai sighed. "We should probably get up."
Gojyo pouted. "I'm not going anywhere." He squeezed Hakkai and grinned. "Neither are you."
Hakkai, who had been previously attempting to get up, laid back against Gojyo, half smiling. "I guess it wouldn't hurt to sleep in one day…"
"Get your rest," Gojyo teased. "You won't be sleeping tonight."
Hakkai blushed slightly and gave Gojyo a playful hit on the head. "All right, then." He curled up in Gojyo's arms and closed his eyes.
"That's it," Gojyo said, pressing a soft kiss to Hakkai's cheek and laying his head beside his. "Sleep, baby, I love you."
Hakkai smiled.
Goku tapped his foot impatiently. It was getting late. "Sanzo, where are they?"
Sanzo glared over his newspaper, too lazy to go for the fan. "For the god's sake, monkey, calm down." He paused, glancing in the general direction of the other's' room. "Once in a while they deserve to sleep in."
