It was just another day at Seattle Grace Hospital. The rain fell like it normally did. The ER was busy with patients. The on call rooms were filled with couples just needing some time alone. Meredith Grey makes her way down the stairs and into the quiet lobby. Her new found love interest, Derek Shepherd, is waiting for her there. Derek is reading the paper, lost in his own world, like he is every night when she meets him here. Derek sits down his paper and smiles his classic McDreamy smile at Meredith.

"Long day?"

"Yeah."

"Somewhere out there is a steak with you name on it. And maybe a bottle of wine."

"This is why I keep you around."

"Also we need to talk."

"Wine first, talk later.

"You trying to get my drunk? Take advantage of me?" Meredith smiles playfully at Derek. "Okay."

"I think I'm going to like this whole new 'rules' thing."

Derek stands and gathers his things. Meredith puts on her jacket and Derek tenderly straightens the collar of her jacket for her. As they walk out of the lobby, something catches Derek's eye. It's his biggest secret. And the thing that will change Meredith's life in ways she never imagined.

"Meredith, I am so sorry." Derek tenderly touches Meredith's arm before looking at the Prada clad woman now standing in front of them. "Addison."

"You haven't returned any of my calls." Addison Forbes Montgomery Shepherd extends her hand to Meredith. "Hi. I'm Addison Shepherd."

"Shepherd?" Confused, Meredith looks at Derek then back at Addison, trying to put the pieces of this suddenly very complicated puzzle together.

"And you must be the woman who's screwing my husband."

Although everything in Meredith's mind is telling her that she should be furious at Derek for not telling her he was married, her heart kept skipping beats. Because the way she felt right now, looking at this beautiful redheaded goddess was a feeling she had never experienced before. That feeling of finding the one whom your soul has been searching for. That feeling you get when you meet the love of your life for the first time. And the look in Addison's eyes told her she was feeling the same thing.
