Years after their jobs as part-time heroes, and time-traveling heroes, Penn, Sashi, and Boone have made it through school and now have heroic lives of their own; Boone is now a coastguard with a nephew named Barry, Penn and Sashi are married with a daughter named Petunia and a son named Randy. Penn works as a firefighter, and Sashi as a police officer. So although their 'glory days' are far behind them, the trio still continues to be the heroes they were always meant to be.

One day, the trio and their descendents are watching a movie together. They liked going to the movies, it reminded them a lot of their career as heroes. The trio also liked to tell the kids stories of all their adventures. When they left the theater, the 3 adults were greeted by a face they hadn't seen in years: It was Phyllis, the woman who use to zap them into dimensions as the hero, sidekick, and wise man.

Phyllis: Hello old friends, you've all really grown.

Boone: You haven't changed a bit, Phyllis.

Penn: Wait, if you're here, that means the multiverse is out of balance again and part-time heroes and villains again?

Phyllis: It's like you read my mind; yes. I've seen you work as time-travel heroes and as the heroes you are now. The recruits in question are your kids, it's time they, like you, lived up to the part-time hero legacy.

Sashi (turning to the kids): Whoa, did you hear that kids? You're going to be part-time hero, sidekick, and wise man, just like we all use to be.

Kids (all): Yipee!

Penn: One thing Phyllis, with Rippen and Larry gone, who are going to be the part-time villain and minion they have to fight.

Phyllis: It's Rippen's equally as bad nephew, who's also becoming villain. The minion is a mystery to me.

Randy: Hey, that's right. A new kid arrived in class today, his name was Francis Rippen. Maybe he's the one Phyllis is talking about.

And it was. Penn, Sashi, and Boone couldn't wait to get their kids in on the action of being part-time heroes. And the kids couldn't wait to get in on it themselves. After hearing so many stories about their parents adventures, they finally get to have their own. And the 1st mission was only to be the beginning . . .
