After Superman's new enemies show up, he begins to approach them, but before he can, a red blob shoots through the air, onto each of the enemies, and Superman, also. When the villains rise, the invader is revealed to be the symbiote responsible for Venom and Carnage's powers. Cyborg Superman begins shooting his laser beam at everyone he sees, wounding and incapacitating several heroes, including Batman and War Machine. While this goes on, on CyberKrypton, Vegeta is in battle with his new captors, Metallo and Starscream. He eventually defeats them without much challenge, then flies off to return to Earth. While he is flying through space, his stolen vessel is warped out of the sky by Darkseid's forces, trapping him on Apokolips until he can repair his ship. He finally gets to Earth, after escaping Apokolips and being trapped on the planet Sakaar. When he does return, he begins to coast down to Metropolis, the host of all the chaos, but stops, when he sees the Superman wannabes wreaking havoc all through the area. He then finds Lex Luthor, and physically forces him to send Vegeta to the other dimensions, to fulfill a plan he intends to save everyone with. Back at the battle in Metropolis, the heroes are nearly overcome by the strength of their new opponents, after all the fighting they've done in the past several months, when their savior, or saviors, arrive. They see a ship flying in and crashing into the side of the Daily Planet, and when it empties out, they are overjoyed. Exiting the ship, are Batman and Superman's other reality counterparts. They see figures such as Azrael's Batman, the Jason Todd Batman, Dick Grayson as Batman, Sunshine Superman, Superman Blue, and countless other characters. Vegeta's legion of heroes swarms on Carnage's group, forcing most of them to retreat, while the others have the symbiote leap from their bodies and jump into the water. The heroes rejoice, and thank Vegeta, before he takes the heroes back to their home worlds. Off in space, the robot Unicron is plotting the worst attack the heroes have seen yet.
