It was a beautiful warm summer's day and Percy was full of the joys. Even more so since Oliver had joined him for his dinner hour and currently had his head pillowed companionably on Percy's stomach as Percy reclined against the trunk of a huge spreading oak tree. The park they had gone to was busy with Muggles but they had managed to find a shady spot.

Oliver's eyes were closed as he soaked up the heat and, thinking he was asleep, Percy pulled the book out of his shirt pocket and opened it.

" What are you reading, Perce?" Oliver had opened one eye and was grinning up at Percy.

" Poetry. " he replied shyly.

" Oh, my. " Oliver scanned the title. " Love poetry, no less. " Percy steeled himself for Oliver's laughter, but it never came.

" Read me some? " he asked. Percy hid his grin and turned the pages.

" This is one of my favourites. It's called 'The Passionate Shepherd To His Love.' "

" Sounds promising. " grinned Oliver.

" Come live with me and be my Love. And we will all the pleasures prove. "

" Pretty sure we took care of that last night. " smirked Oliver. Percy blushed and continued.

" There will we sit apon the rocks, and see the shepherds feed their flocks. "

" Sounds riveting. " muttered Oliver. Percy frowned.

" There will I make thee beds of roses, And a thousand fragrant posies. "

" No good to me with my hayfever. " grumbled Oliver. Percy had had enough. He snapped the book shut and glared at his unrepentant lover.

Casanova would have given up. Don Juan would have sighed and turned in his guitar if they'd tried to woo someone like Oliver Wood.

" Honestly. You've got no soul. You're about as romantic as this tree. How I ever fell for you I - mmmpfh. "

He was terminally interrupted as Oliver claimed his mouth in a hot, needy kiss.

" Remember now? " asked Oliver teasingly.

" You're still impossible. " sighed Percy, holding Oliver tight, aware of his body's response to the other man's closeness.

" You need to get back to work. " grinned Oliver as Percy pulled a face. " I'll be waiting for you tonight. I'll put the wine, and myself on ice till then. "

Percy returned all hot and flustered to the Ministry. Yes indeed, he thought, a fine romance. Oliver was loud, athletic, outgoing, everything Percy wasn't.

" And that's why I love him. " said Percy to himself, anticipation washing over him as he thought of the night to come.
