Walking in the rain

The walk and thoughts of a character in a book by Allan Poe... Guess which one ! This was written as a school work and meant to be that short. Don't hesitate to post a review! It's free and would help me to improve. Bonne lecture !

Un devoir d'anglais qu'on nous a donné en section euro pour nous entraîner à l'examen de Cambridge. Il fallait écrire un texte d'environ cent mots avec pour titre Walking in the rain et bien sûr, le tout en anglais. J'espère que c'est correct et compréhensible. N'hésitez pas à me donner vos avis, ça m'aiderait beaucoup ! :)

Walking in the rain

"My name is Edward Newgate... Dr Edward Newgate. I'm from Oxford." A young man was walking in the forest by night. "I sent you a letter one month ago." A top hat covered his tall figure and he was wearing a costume under a warm cape. A pair of circle glasses leaned on his cliff-like nose. Suddenly, the rain began to fall and he sped up. "Oh Mrs Graves..." he sighed. "Since I saw you in this class last month, I..." He shoke his head and kept walking. "For God's sake Edward, you are almost there ! It's no time to give up." he said. He continued walking, silently until dawn, under the low rain. He finally got out of the woods and found the heavy gates of Stonehearst Asylum.
