English isn't my language.
"I think my time has come." Arthur whispered.
Merlin couldn't say anything, he tried to stop the bleeding.
"Don't cry Merlin." Arthur stretched out his hand and gently swept Merlin's face. Merlin was shaking.
"I'm happy that you are here now."
"Arthur…"
"We never could be together. Not like we want. Just two of us."
"Please, Arthur, stop, stop, don't…" Merlin's voice broke.
"I die today." Arthur looked his servant, his friend, his soul, his heart. "Merlin, look at me."
And Merlin looked him.
"You were right, remember that. This was my stupid idea. Never blame yourself Merlin. So don't ever cry over me."
"How I can do that?"
"You can Merlin, you of all people can. I'm somehow glad that this is over. These years were long. Full of happiness and sadness. Is it already night?" Arthur's gaze wandered away from Merlin.
Merlin looked the sun.
It was so bright in the cloudless sky.
"Yes, it's night Arthur."
"Where is my son? Where is Bran?"
"He is waiting you." Merlin sighed and finally gave up. He smiled when Arthur looked him again.
"Do you come with me?"
"No, not this time. But do you wait me?"
"Can we be together again?"
"Yes." Merlin promised.
"Then I wait you." Arthur smiled.
And Merlin watched how his king, his friend, his soul, his heart, parted from life.
