End of Author's Note
It was a nice day in Enchancia and Lucinda, the little witch, was currently playing with her Princess friend Sofia. The have become great friends after Lucinda became good and they often hang out with each other whether it be at their homes or in the village. Currently they were playing with the other village children and all was going great until Lucinda suddenly remembered something.
"Oh NO! I am late." She called getting ready to leave.
"Late for what?" Sofia asked wondering what her witch friend was late for.
"My potion lesson." Lucinda answered.
"Potin lesson?" Sofia wondered.
"Yeah. Recently my mom got me a teacher to teach me different potions. She said it was because she doesn't know many and she wants me to learn as much as possible."
"Well, are the lessons going ok? Does your teacher know you are a good witch?" Sofia wondered.
"They are ok. She has just been showing me how to gather ingredient and no. I don't think she knows I am a good witch. I think my mom is hoping I will became a wicked witch again. So I am a little scared of what will happen if my teacher knows. My mom wasn't to happy and I don't think my teacher will be either." Lucinda explained.
"Well, as long as you don't use the potions I don't see a problem." Sofia said.
"'That is the problem. Once we actually start learning how to make them she wants me to test them." Lucinda said obviously worried about that.
"Well…" but before Sofia could say anything else they heard someone call.
"Lucinda." Said the voice. Then out of no where Lucinda's mom came out. "Lucinda, your late for your lesson."
"Coming." Lucinda said. "Bye Sofia." With that she flew off on her broom with her mom. Sofia watched her leave and she too began to worry about this teacher.
When Lucinda made it to her home the teacher was already there and she was preparing the ingredients for their first potion making.
"Hello, Lucinda." She said when she saw Lucinda.
"Hello Mrs. Elaine." Lucinda said nervously.
"You ready to start making your first potion?" Elaine said happily.
"I guess." Lucinda said.
"Then lets get started." Elaine said. "Now, today we will start simple and make a sleeping potion."
After that they began to put all the ingredients into the pot. Then they used their magic to get it right and over time it was ready. Lucinda was now really nervous on what her teacher will do now. She said she wants to test it but she did not know on what.
"It is ready. Now it is time to test it." She said with a somewhat evil chuckle. "Now who to us it…" Then she looked outside and saw little Hixie, Lucinda's pet rabbit. "How about the rabbit."
"NO!" Lucinda called. "Hexie is me pet. Don't use it on her."
"Not to worry little one. This sleeping potion…" She held up the potion. "...is not dangerous. It will only put something to sleep for about half a day." She explained.
"But…" Lucinda said still not wanting to use the potion on Hexie.
"Oh fine. We will test it on something else." Elaine said disappointed.
That was when the went out to look for someone to test the potion on. Over time the came to the town and Lucinda grow nervous. What if Elaine wanted to use it on one of her friends? She really didn't want that to happen.
"That will work." Elaine said pointing at someone.
Lucinda looked down and saw one of the childs she plays with. It was the one with the dog that she once gave the tail too.
"Who?" Lucinda asked. making sure it was not who she thought.
"Don't worry. We will use it on the dog. It we give it to the person it would cause a lot of trouble and I don't want to deal with that." She explained.
Lucinda felt a little better but she was still not thrilled about it. They followed the girl and once she went inside, leaving her dog outside, they both went down. They walked up to the dog but really the dog recognized Lucinda and ran up to her. He was happy to see her.
"Wow, This dog sure does like you." Elaine said suspiciously.
"Yeah...well…" Lucinda said trying to come up with a reason why he liked her.
"Well, it don't matter. We need to do this fast before his owner comes out. Here you do it." She said handing Lucinda the little bottle with the potion in it.
Lucinda took it and looked at the dog and had second thoughts. "Sorry." She said sadly as she gave the dog the potion. After he took it he fell straight to sleep.
"It works!" Elaine said laughing evilly. "Good work. Now lets leave."
"OK." Lucinda said still feeling guilty she did that but she knew it was temporary so she happened it would be fine.
Elaine saw her worry and said, "Don't worry after the twelve hours he will wake up like nothing happened."
"OK." Lucinda said feeling a little better.
They flew home but when they arrived it was too late to do another potion. Lucinda was not complaining. She did not want to do something bad again that day. So after they put all the potion stuff away Elaine left. Lucinda waited a little while the began to leave too.
"Lucinda, where are you going?" Her mother asked her daughter.
"I just remembered I forgot something. I will be right back."
"Well hurry back. It is almost dinner time."
"OK." With that Lucinda got back on her broom and flew back to town.
She looked for the house she was just at and when she found it she saw the girl holding her dog looking really upset. Lucinda really regretted it and had to apologize. She flew down and walked up to the girl.
"Uhm…" She said feeling guilty.
The girl turned around and said, "Lucinda! My dog won't wake up!?"
"I know." Lucinda said sadly. "I did that."
The girl gasped and said, "WHAT!? But I thought you were good now?"
"I am. Don't worry. He is fine. I recently got a new potion teacher and today we make a sleeping potion and tested it on your dog." Lucinda explained. The girl was not happy. "But don't worry he will wake up in less than 12 hours and he will be as good as new."
"Really?" The girl said with doubt.
"I promise. And I am really, really sorry I did that. I am just scared on what my teacher will do if she finds out I am good. She might not be as understanding as my mom."
"Well…" The girl thought about it. "...As long as he is ok...and you don't use any more potions on him I will forgive you."
"Thank you. I will try to not use any more potions on him." Lucinda said happy she understood.
After that she went home and had dinner with her mother. She worried on if the dog would wake up but she had no reason to think otherwise. That night she continued to worry and even told herself she would check the dog the next day.
Author's second note: OK I hope it is ok so far. There is more and it does get better. I also hope the rating K+ was right. Feel free to tell me what you think.
