The Legend of Synthine: The Dark Past
Chapter 1: Early Years
Hello my name is Synthine, daughter of Spyro and Cynder. I am the youngest of my siblings and the only daughter in my family. I have 3 brothers, the oldest, Bolt, is an electric dragon. He is my least favorite brother. The 2nd is Sly. He is a purple dragon, just like my dad only smaller and his eyes are different. The youngest brother is Wither. He is a gray dragon, first of his kind, and probably the nicest brother to me, but only when the others aren't around. Then there's me. I'm a dark purple dragon and I have heterochromic eyes. My right eye is emerald, just like my moms. My left eye is purple, just like my dads. I'm only 2 years old and I'm well protected by my parents. They, often worry if I will be hurt by my brothers due to them wanting another brother. I sleep in their room with them to keep me safe I always stayed in there fearing of my brothers if I walked out. The only time I walked out of the room is if I'm being escorted or with my parents if you say to eat or to go out somewhere or being watched by my uncle Sparx. One day while I was in the room playing I overheard my parents talking about me and being independent. I didn't know what to react by I did want to be independent but I didn't know how well it would go due to my brothers. After a long talk I could hear my mother sigh then say "fine." and I moved away and went back to what I was doing earlier. They came up to me and sat down next to me side by side and my mother sayed "Synthine we have to tell you something." I look at them sort of confused but I say "Sure what is it mommy and daddy." My mother then says "we were talking about you and we were wondering if you wanted to be independent?" I looked at them confused and asked "What you mean?" That's when my father pitched in saying "like having your own room being able to do things on your own that sort of stuff sweetie." I looked at them sort of weird and I end up smiling a little saying "I like that, but idk how well it will go though." Looking down slightly at the ground and curling my small tail around my body. That's when my mother being confident as she is sayed to me "well we can give it a shot and see how well it goes? How does that sound?" I nod slightly and smile saying "ok." They smiled back at me and left me alone while they went to go set up my room. It took the remainder of the day to get my room ready and by then it was already time for bed but I just wasn't allowed to fall asleep yet because my parents wanted me to see my reaction when they showed me my room. Once my parents got done they came back and got me and they brought me to my room. Once they open the door to my room I was in amazement by what they did to my room the walls were painted the color of my scales and it was a room that any 2 year old dragon girl would want to have. They smiled and asked me "Do you like your room Synthine?" I nodded tiredly and say "Yes I love my room its perfect." Smiling tiredly at them. They smiled and say "Guess it's time for bed, guess someone is sleepy huh?" I laugh at that slightly and nod slightly as my mother picked me up and brought me to bed. After I was tucked in they both gave me a kiss on the forehead and my father sayed "Sleep well and sweet dreams baby girl." I smiled at the words and started to fall asleep as they left my room and closed the door. They smiled at one another and my mother says" You were right Spyro. She does want to be independent, she really loves her room." My father smiled and says" I know but let's get some sleep been a long day with preparing her room and we ought to sleep and so that we don't wake her up as well." My mother nods and smiles as they head back to their room and soon fall asleep for the night, but what they didn't know what that my brothers were awake the entire time and were heading to my room.
