Leaves
Fall; a time for the ultimate beauty around the world. Brilliant colors are changing and surrounding us everywhere, to leave us in awe of its spectacular beauty. And what more can be added to this breathtaking scene but a beautiful Saiyan with chocolate eyes?
I watch as the leaves fall around him, smiling at his giggling and innocent nature as he attempts to catch every single different colored leaf. It isn't yet cold outside, but that doesn't stop him from wearing his favorite scarf that matches the colors around us. During the fall, his eyes are so vibrant and alive, drawing me in to simply get lost in its delicacy. It doesn't even register in my mind that I am watching him so closely and with so much adoration and love. More than what I probably should feel during this time of year.
He turns and gives a smile that could melt even my father's heart. In his arms are all the leaves he has caught, his childlike nature making me love him even more. He runs up to me to share in his achievement, beaming with pride and how skilled he was. His tail wags behind him in excitement while he stares at me with those beautiful brown orbs, and I cannot help but wag my tail in response. He notices my affection, and takes no time in leaning forward to rub our noses together, the action making us both purr.
With a laugh, he pushes me to the ground and drops all of the different colored leaves on top of me, then he himself rests on me as well. He smiles and tilts his head to the side, just watching me. My breath catches in my throat at the scenery behind him, all the trees with the reds, browns, gold, oranges, and even purples giving him the perfect outline. Leaves crunch beneath me and between us as he makes himself more comfortable, then wraps his tail around mine like he has done ever since we were toddlers. And finally, we just rest there, holding each other in our pool of colors with purrs in our chest.
I think the leaves should fall more often.
