Author's Note: Here's a brand new story for you all! Me and "five nights at corpse party" worked on this story together. Definitely make sure to check out his profile and read his stories! Anyways, here we go!
The hands on the clock turned slowly. It read 11:30 PM. All was silent except for the ceiling fan in the office of the two rookie private investigators, Summer Stone and Rose Hitchcox. They sat at their desks and stared at the clock, waiting for something, anything to happen. But, it was a small town with little to do. If they were lucky, they'd get two, three cases in a week. Luckily, they were still paid enough to afford the rent they had to pay.
Summer sighed and looked through the open-case police files that sit in front of her. "Still nothing." She said. "How about you?" She turned towards Rose.
"Nothing yet." Rose continued to shuffle through the files in front of her. Rose was interested in private investigation more than anything. She really enjoyed it for the sport of it. Rose stopped at a file that read 'TOP SECRET'. "I think I've got something." Rose beckoned Summer over.
"What is it?" Summer asked. It appears to be an old fine, almost yellow from age. As they opened it, the name 'Fazbear' appeared on the page.
"Fazbear... like Freddy Fazbear's?" Rose asked. Summer nodded.
"Yeah, I think I remember that place. What happened there?" Summer asked. Rose grinned.
"Well, let's find out." She turned to the next page. Rose continued to read the file. Information of the Bite of '87 had popped up. "Says here one of the animatronics actually bit a kid. Called him Foxy." Rose explained to Summer, her face growing serious.
"Sounds creepy." Summer said. Rose turned to the next page. The top of the page read 'The Fazbear Slaughters'. "A Fazbear employee lured five young children into the back room and murdered them. He then stuffed four of the bodies into animatronic suits to prevent them from being found, and cleaned the blood off the floor. But, one of the children was missing and was not found. The killer then dissapeared." Rose read. Summer shivered.
"That's brutal. Kids, huh?" Summer asked. Rose nodded.
"It says here that he was wearing all purple, but that was all the information they could gather." Rose looked at Summer. "Feel like cracking a case?" Rose's face turned cocky. She began to stand up.
"Wait," Summer said. "Are you sure you want to follow through with this? I mean, what if something bad happens? What if we get killed?" Her face turned pale.
"I don't think anything bad will happen. Trust me." Rose replied. "Besides, we've almost been in business for five months now. At least we have some experience with this kind of thing." Rose nodded. She got up and opened the door. Summer trailed behind her.
As they headed to Summer's car, Rose read the address out loud. Summer stopped. "That's at the edge of town. I thought it would be closer." She said. Rose shook her head.
"You're thinking of the new one that's still going. We have to head to the original place. It says the name was 'Fredbears Family Diner'." Summer nodded and climbed into the front seat. Rose opened the door and hopped into the passenger seat as Summer started the car.
"We don't have much to go on, but it's still a case." Summer stated. Rose shrugged.
"Well, we wanted something, we got something. So don't complain." Rose said as Summer backed out of the driveway. They drove in silence until they reached a small gas station in the middle of town.
"I'm gonna go get some gas. Why don't you see if you can find anything else?" Summer said as she got out of the car, closing the door behind her. She turned towards the gas machine and swiped her credit card.
Rose sat in the passenger seat quietly, waiting for Summer. She opened the file and began to read more. She flipped through the pages, trying to find anything new. But, nothing could be found, until she turned to the back of the very last page. In pencil, it reads 'The Purple Man has been to prison two times so far. He has committed mass murders, one of which was the Fazbear Slaughter. Very sneaky, not to be messed with.' Rose shuddered.
Summer jumped back into the car. Rose quickly shut the file. "Find anything?" Summer asked as she started up the car.
"Nope. Nothing new." Rose lied. She didn't want to scare her friend. They continued to sit in silence as they drove to the abandoned diner.
Summer pulled into a parking spot that seemed to be in better condition than the others. She turned to Rose. "You sure are quiet. Is everything alright?" She asked her.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Come on, let's go." Rose opened the door. Summer took her keys out of the ignition and jumped out too. She locked her car and looked at the run-down building. A bad feeling began to form in her stomach, but she decided to ignore it. Rose walked up to the front doors and pulled on the handle, but it wouldn't budge.
"Tch. It's locked. Of course. What do we do now?" Rose asked. Summer looked around. She spotted an open window boarded up with wood to the left of the entrance.
"There," she pointed. "Just yank off the wood." They walked over to the window. Summer grasped the wood tightly and yanked as hard as she could. Rose helped out and did the same. The wood was surprisingly well-attached to the window, but they managed to pull it off anyways.
Summer climbed into the open window, Rose trailing behind. They both coughed at the excessive amount of dust that surrounded them.
"I guess we should check the suits first." Summer suggests. She walked up to the stage where three animatronics stood. A blue, small rabbit, a brown bear, and a yellow chicken that had a bib saying 'Let's Party' in colorful letters, stood on the stage, almost lifelessly. Summer reached out for one of them.
"Those are the wrong ones." Rose said. "We're looking for the old ones. They're supposed to be in the Parts and Service room." Rose explained. Summer hopped off the stage and walked over to Rose. Summer giggled a little bit.
"What's so funny?" Rose asked.
"She's cute, isn't she?" Summer giggled a little bit more. Rose rolled her eyes.
"They all are. They're meant to look that way. That's how they were designed. Now come on, let's not waste our time. I don't like the feel of this place." Rose shuddered and looked around for the Parts and Services room.
They looked and looked around until they finally found the room. Rose stretched out her hand for the handle, but stopped.
"Well, what're you waiting for?" Summer asked. "Just open it."
"Right, right." Rose grabbed the handle and pulled it open. The room was pitch dark. Dust flew at their face again, causing them to cough heavily. Summer stopped coughing and turned her flashlight on, filling the room with light. Four animatronics lay on the ground. There was a red fox with tears in its synthetic fur, a chicken that had no hands and a gaping jaw, a purple rabbit missing its entire face and an arm, and finally a brown bear who's only state of disrepair seemed to be its old age. All of them almost seemed to be watching the two girls.
"Woah..." Summer said. She walked up to the rabbit and began to inspect it.
"Summer, wait!" Rose yelled. Summer notices two red flickering lights where the rabbit's eyes should be. She leaned forward slowly and squints, trying to get a better look. She reached out to touch the rabbit.
The rabbit then reached out with his head to attack Summer. Loud noises of metal and small screeching could be heard from inside the rabbit. Summer jumped back in fear and surprise. Luckily, with the face of the rabbit missing, no harm was inflicted on Summer. The rabbit only left a small scratch on her arm that was quickly ignored. "What was that?" Summer became very scared.
"I don't know!" Rose grew worried too. The rabbit slowly moved back to its original position. Summer grew even more curious than before. She leaned in slightly again. The rabbit attempted another attack as done before, and Summer jumped back again. The rabbit, again, leaned back to its original position.
"Huh. That's interesting..." Summer muttered.
Rose looked next to Summer to see the fox staring at Summer with glowing yellow eyes. It crouched down, as if ready to attack Summer like a lion would do to attack its prey. "Summer, look out!" Rose yelled. Summer whirled around at the fox.
The fox made a leap for Summer. She dived out of the way just in time for the fox to miss. She bumped into Freddy in the escape process, who looked at her with glowing blue eyes.
"AH!" Summer jumped back. She yelled and ran out of the room. She shut the door tightly behind her and locked it. She began to hyperventilate heavily.
"Summer, calm down! It's okay!" Rose tried to assure her. "You're fine now! They can't get to you." Rose rest her hands on Summer's shoulders. "Just breathe. Breathe like me. In..." Rose inhaled. "And out..." She exhaled. "In...and out... see? Isn't that better?" Rose asked, standing up.
"Yeah, much better." Summer stood up. "But we need to inspect those animatronics. So what are we going to do?" Summer asked.
"Well, they are pretty old... maybe it's some sort of night mode? They should stop moving by dawn." Rose said, trying to convince herself as well as Summer. They heard one of the animatronics bang loudly on the locked door. Both of them shuddered and started to walk away.
"Where will we stay until then?" Summer asked.
"There's porbably an office, just like in the new one. Come on, let's go find it." Rose beckoned. They looked around for a few minutes cautiously, as if the creatures from before could be wandering around, looking for them. They found a door that seemed like it would lead to the office. They opened it slowly.
Inside there was nothing but some small prizes, a little boy animatronic holding a balloon, and a large present with a music box on top of it. Summer walked over to the music box and began to wind it, softly humming to the tune.
"Hi." An unfamiliar voice echoed. Summer's flashlight went out suddenly.
"What the hell?" Summer put down the music box and banged on the flashlight, trying to get it to work. It didn't go back on.
"AH!" Rose yelled. Summer heard a small thump and a dragging noise.
"Rose?! Rose, where are you!" Summer yelled, dropping her flashlight. She felt something grab her on the shoulder. Her eyes rolled up to the back of her head, and she passed out.
