Humanity – Izaki Mukura, Akasuna no Sasori
As the flame dies
I close my eyes
And remember what is was like
Before I gave up my humanity.
It was bliss
It was painful.
It was light
It was dark.
I was alive
And I was dead.
There was never a balance in between the two
As there is no balance
When the moon rises when the sun still shines.
I loved
I lied
I laughed
I broke hearts
I smiled
I killed.
As I shed my humanity
I knew
I just knew
It wasn't the same afterwards.
The control I have over my body
Is limited to points which I cannot break.
The day I gave myself to Satan
And broke free of humanity
Was the day I drenched my heart
My soul and my life
In a legacy of blood.
There is no such thing as humanity in the life I lead
There is only cruelty and a yawning absence.
That absence is the absence of life…I stopped living when I gave up my humanity.
