A/N: Hai, and thanks for clicking!
This is my first fanfiction, so no flames please. (Hides in a terrified corner)
Probably, this would be a... I don't know... thirty chaptered story. I really struggled to find some good genres for it, and I apologise if they are not correct. T to be on the safe side.
Darkest Hour
VesperiaDeputy ~
Ch1: Distant lies
Air stained Train's lungs as he stumbled through the dark alleyway, trying to flee from the sinister laughter of a woman that echoed far behind. A knife cascaded up to him, and Train barely managed to dodge the flying shard of metal that was dangerously close to his heart. The close call was intruded as many more came in the same direction, all identical replicas of the first.
"There is no way you can dodge all of these forever!" the foresaid woman sneered. Wild red eyes appeared in the murky and shadowy distance, glaring at the brunette with hungry jaws. "Too bad for you, I have advantage!"
Train's golden eyes widened as the thing got closer. The thing shot out long and horrible claws and Train immediately felt himself being lifted up. The pressure put on his body was unbearable. The creature squeezed harder.
He hacked blood out of his mouth and dropped his head before everything went black.
Train peered over the edge of his bunk bed, his head stinging from when he bashed it on the ceiling during his fearful frenzy to get up. Eve was wide awake, sticking her head in a fat book as usual. Sven was on a red plush chair still snoring his head off.
Nothing unusual here.
Stashing hands behind head, he settled back onto the duvet and thought back to the dream. It had repeated itself for three days now. He skimmed over all that has happened: Darkness, woman's voice, monster, death… It seemed that every time he tried to make sense of it the further away it got. Train sighed in irritation when a familiar mono-tone voice was heard from below.
It was Eve.
"Are you still thinking about that dream you had last night?" she asked, her magenta eyes boring into Train almost mockingly.
The Black Cat was on the edge of a witty retort but shoved it to the back of his mind. Silently, he just nodded.
"You should forget about it. It is just a dream." That was the last thing Eve said before she dug herself back away with the fiction. Train did not disturb her anymore and buried himself into the covers of his bed. He did not really want to go back to sleep, but he could not resist. He was too tired.
The ex-assasain tried to forget about the visit to the dreamland even though something inside him was whispering something sinister. He could not hear what it was.
He did not care. His eyes closed and he drifted back off to a 'little death.' Princess was right. It was just a dream. But something prickled his skin. Something was causing his heart to beat fast when he merely thought about it.
Something was causing him to scream inside.
-To be continued-
And oh yeah. I need reviews to continue. :3
