Darth Revan and Darth Malak have taken a fleet into the Unknown Regions in search of the mysterious Star Forge. Revan expected to find the Star Forge, but didn't count on what else he'd find getting in the way...

The search would soon be over. All roads had led to this section of space dubbed as the Unknown Regions. Darth Revan had studied the Star Maps for hours on end and he was sure that this was the place... he could feel it.
Darth Malak approached Revan as the fleet of starships pulled out of hyperspace.
"I feel it my lord. The power, it calls to me."
"As it does to us all, but we mustn't become it's slave." Revan responded.
Malak didn't quite understand what Revan had meant by that remark, but he remained silent and submitted to his masters wisdom despite a deep questioning within him. Ensign Whitley chimed in over the silence.
"Sir, we are picking up something that matches the description of the Star Forge."
A rush of andrenaline came over Malak, causing him to speak out of turn.
"Prepare a scouting party, we need to..."
"No!" Revan interupted.
"We must go ourselves... I sense a disturbance."
"But master, anything could be waiting for us out there. We know nothing of this region of space."
"We started this journey, now we must be the ones to finish it."
Malak didn't like the thought of walking into an alien artifact with little preperation but he had come too far to turn back on the vision that Revan had laid out now. And so he said...
"Prepare a shuttle."
