Nighttime Musings
Rating: K
Summary: Percy's nighttime musings on how his friends have impacted his life. (drabbles)
Part 1
Percy thought back to the days before the troubles with Gaea, before the war against Kronos. He remembered the fatal day when he lost Annabeth and found Nico and Bianca and Westover Hall. He never realized how much that day impacted his life. But it did.
1) It made him realize how important Annabeth was to him. It made him realize how lucky he was to have her, not just as his girlfriend, but as his best friend.
2) He never knew how much meeting the di Angelos changed his life.
-Bianca taught him selflessness and that it's okay to think about your self and your needs ahead of others sometimes. He still wishes she was still here, because (despite the fact that she became a Hunter) he thinks they could've been good friends.
-Nico. Nico taught him that never giving someone a second thought could be dangerous. He taught him strength- Nico kept going after everything. If he never met Nico, Percy felt that he would be dead. He wouldn't have had Achilles curse, or if somehow he did, Kronos would've risen for lack of more support on the camp's side. And even if they got past that, he would still be in Tartarus with Annabeth, unable to help.
He learned a lot of things of those few days. Not just from them. But also from Zoe and Thalia and Grover. He learned something from everyone, even those he thought he wouldn't have ever learned from.
If that day had never happened, he doesn't know where he'd be.
Thanks for reading! I posted this on tumblr, then decided to post it here. If you want to see how your favorite character impacted Percy's life, let me know who! (Or a certain part of a book.) And to those of you who read my BoO fanfiction- I promise to have the next chapter up by Sunday.
