"Thus the blade of fate is swung down." –Kubo Tite.
She found a boy she knew she'd change.
She wasn't looking for him, not really.
It was her first mission in the human world; who would say that her whole existence would change because of that? She was doing her work; slaying hollows and doing soul burials and one night she got lost while following the presence of an abnormally huge hollow.
She ended up entering his room.
The first thing she thought was that he really looked like him but still he was completely different. The second thing that she thought was that he was a foul mouthed asshole with a distracting and ridiculous hair color.
She didn't know why; perhaps it was because she wanted to talk to someone or maybe a little part of her wanted to keep talking to this human boy with enough spiritual pressure to see her, either way she ended up explaining to him what she was and her job.
He didn't believe her.
She used her demon magic on him.
He called her a bitch.
Then out of nowhere his family was attacked and without looking at him she ran to slay the hollow, surprisingly he got there faster and started to yell at the monster fearless and stupid words about how he should attack him and leave his family out of this.
Seriously?! Couldn't he see that he wouldn't be able to do anything?!
She didn't have time to think she just launched herself in front of him and before she knew what was happening she was injured. Then, between the Hollow's roars and the pain on her shoulder he looked at her with his amber eyes begging her to help him do something to save him and his family.
She knew it was a crime but the boy was looking at her with hope and something else she couldn't name. Besides, there wasn't any other way.
"Just half of it." She told herself.
Why was she doing it? She didn't know. It was definitely something more than his resemblance with someone from her past, it was something more than the desperation in his eyes.
It was about what she was feeling.
This boy with stupid hair color was definitely something else, she could do it; she could change this human and let him be a Shinigami, she could lend him some of her power.
"Give me the sword, Shinigami."
"My name's not Shinigami, I'm Kuchiki Rukia."
"I'm Kurosaki Ichigo."
Then it happened.
He took everything and while she looked at him cutting the hollow in half with that huge sword of his she told herself that without looking she had found a really special boy… a boy she knew she'd change.
Little did she know that he would change her too.
The end.
This was a prompt for the Ichiruki month and I never uploaded it because I wasn't sure about it but Bleach ends tomorrow and I feel like this had to be on my profile so here it is. Ichigo and Rukia were created to be with each other and no matter what happens I'll ship them until my dying breath.
