Kagome blinked back the tears that threatened to spill from her hazel eyes. "No, it can't be. There has to be some reasonable explination." She thought, "Yeah, that's it! He just wanted to...he was only...no, who am I kidding? I should have just stayed home."
She slumped against the trunk of the God tree. It was no use. 'Seeing is believing' and although se saw it, Kagome didn't want to believe it.
But there was the proof, right there. Standing in the clearing behind the Goshinboku, were Kikyo and Inuyasha. HER Inuyasha. Or at least that was what he had led her to believe. Well he didn't confess his love for her, but really!
Kagome had only gone back to her time because she needed to restock on supplies. She returned the next morning and, after lugging her now laden pack out of the Bone Eaters Well, had spotted Inuyasha walking into the forest.
Curious as always, she followed him at a distance, treading softly as not to alert him of her presence.
So? What do you think? Review or I won't continue it….
