AN: ok so I played Misao and after spending an hour in a ball crying at how the ending went down, I was hit with a bout of inspiration and decided to write this fic.

The image of her smiling face as her body slowly became enveloped by a warm light was the last thing Aki saw before his eyes snapped open and he woke up. Slowly raising himself up, he turned his head from side to side, scanning his surrounding then breathed a sigh of relief to see that he was back in his room.

He groggily crawled forward, taking his alarm clock off the wooden table and pressing the snooze option before it activate. It was still very early in the morning and he had plenty of time to spare.

Rather than go back to sleep and risk running late for school, Aki instead headed downstairs, took out some food from the fridge and started making his food. He did this in an effort to trick his mind into not focusing on the craziness that occurred in his school. He paused for a moment, wondering whether school would actually continue in light of these events then remembered what Mr. Oni told him about pocket dimensions and whatnot.

"Ack," he said angrily as he noticed the omelette he was making was emitting a burnt smell. He quickly took the pan off the stove but it was too late.

After making his lunch and breakfast, Aki headed upstairs and had a bath. Once dressed in his uniform, he came downstairs and saw that he still had three hours left till school starts. Aki sighed at how his efforts at stalling for time were wasted.

In the end he decided to head to school. Despite being early, it should still be open at this time. With this in mind, he headed to the school, got to his class and was not at all surprised to see that no one was here.

Aki strolled through the campus, his mind would frequently overlap a familiar place to the hellish landscape he was trapped in not too long ago.

He eventually found himself back at his classroom and decided he may as well take a nap. Worst case scenario, the teacher would wake him up during class and have him stand outside.

Aki rested his head against the cold wooden desk, closed his eyes and slowly drifted off.

Aki could hear a voice in the distance calling to him. At first he ignored it because it was annoying but the voice continued to persist. He slowly opened his eyes and looked at the source of the noise to find a carrot haired girl with honey brown eyes and a concerned face looking at him.

The sleep instantly vanished from Aki as his eyes opened wider and wider in shock

"Aki?" Ayaka asked, her head titling a little to the side to indicate how concerned she was "did something happen?"

"Ayaka," Aki said, his right hand trembled as it slowly reached out to her. His hand rested on her shoulder and it confirmed that he was not dreaming. Ayaka, his friend for so very long who lost her life due to a tragedy now stood before him like nothing was wrong.

If that wasn't enough, he heard other familiar voices in the back. He whipped around and saw Yoshino sitting on the desk, talking to Tohma while Otome listened on in interest.

'What the hell is going on?' Aki screamed in his mind.
