Small hands gripped the blue chalk, writing the alphabet all over the playground. She even spelled her name. I-S-A-B-L-L-A. She didn't know how to make an E yet. Her uneven pigtails flapped in the wind, like tiny wings attached to her head. She was finishing a perfect capital B, when someone's foot kicked her hand, knocking her piece of chalk halfway across the playground. A little boy with fire red hair and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle sneakers ran from her direction, chasing after a soccer ball. Isabella stood up and ran after the boy to stand in front of him.

"HEY! MOVE OUT OF MY WAY, GIRL!", yelled the boy, trying to maneuver the ball around Isabella.

"NO! You kicked my hand, and you have to say sorry.", she said, poking him in the chest. "I mean it, Buster."

"My name is not buster. It's Edward. And no way I'm gonna say sorry to a girl.", Edward sneered. He pushed Bella to the floor, and ran away, leaving his ball behind.

Isabella screamed and started crying. She took Edward's ball and threw it at him, but missed by a mile. She crossed her arms and kept crying loudly until her father noticed and took her away.

She hasn't gone to that playground since.
