From a Tumblr Prompt: Elizabeth has stage fright and she can't give her speech (her first class at UVA or her inauguration?) before Henry gives her a pep talk.
"Babe, if you keep that up, you're going to wear a hole in the carpet."
Elizabeth stopped her pacing and flopped down on the end of their bed. She turned her head to look at Henry as he emerged from the bathroom, a towel wrapped around his midsection.
"I don't think I can do it," she sighed.
"Do what?"
"Give my lecture. Maybe I should be a stay-at-home mom. Be PTO president and all of that."
Henry chuckled. "Elizabeth, you and I both know that you are not cut out for that."
"Hey! I can do anything I set my mind to."
"Then set your mind to giving your lecture. You've been prepping for this for weeks."
"But, I…"
Henry finished dressing and laid next to Elizabeth.
"Will be fine." He said, finishing her sentence.
She knew he was right.
Even amid her stage fright, she could see that giving a poli-sci lecture would be easier than flying into warzones and interrogating terrorists.
It just didn't feel like it.
"Totally fine?"
"Totally fine. I promise," he muttered, planting a soft kiss on her forehead.
Elizabeth smiled. If Henry believed in her, she could find the strength to believe in herself.
