At 6 a.m. after a few hours of tossing and turning you decide to give up on sleep. You have to leave for L. a few hours for the first time with your best friend Paige. You still can't believe that after meeting Big Time Rush 3 months before that you and James had kept in touch and become really good friends. Good enough that he asked you to fly out to spend his week off with him. You didn't want it to be completely awkward so you asked Paige to tag along.
You arrive at LAX finally and text James to let him know you're here. He replies, "Can't wait to see you :)"
"What's the deal with you two anyway?" Paige asks.
"We're just friends why?" you say half annoyed at the question. Obviously you've been hiding feelings for him since you first met but you didn't even wanna tell Paige that. No one would understand. He's a celebrity and you're just a 20 year old girl from a small town in PA with big dreams of being an actress. How could you even begin to explain to her that you were in love with him, knowing that it could never work?
"Well it's obvious that he has feelings for you. Why else would he ask us to come out here?" she asks with a grin.
"It's whatever, I don't wanna talk about it." Now you can't stop thinking about all the conversations you've had with him over the phone the past few weeks. "Did I miss something?" you wonder to yourself.
You pull up to James' house and start unloading your rental car. Your phone goes off; it's a text from James. "Saw you pull up, be out in a sec."
"Hey! How was your flight?" He asks as he wraps you in a big bear hug. He looks so amazing even if he's only in a simple pair of jeans and black v-neck t-shirt. His hair still had that tousled look to it so you know he probably just got up a while ago.
"It was great, little long though. I couldn't wait to get here. It's so beautiful." You glance up and notice Paige already walking up the steps to the house "Wow thanks a lot," you think as you're left all alone with James.
"Good, I'm glad. I missed you," he says with that thousand watt smile of his. What was going on? You two always kept your relationship platonic even though you knew you were falling for him. But now it seemed to be changing so quickly. Does he really have feelings for me too?
"Really?" Great now I look like an idiot you think to yourself. "I'm sorry, I'm still a little worked up from the plane, of course I miss you too.
"You don't sound so sure. I know I was really looking forward to this for a while," he says shyly. He walks off with your bags, making his way up the steps.
Now you felt like a jerk. You didn't wanna ruin the only chance you might have with him. So you hurry up behind him and follow him inside. It was your typical bachelor pad. Clothes were laying everywhere, dirty dishes in the sink, and video games were strewn across the table.
"Sorry about the mess, I've been a little busy," he replies a little embarrassed.
"It's cool, do you mind if I just go lay down for a bit though? I'm super tired," Paige says as she fakes a yawn. You knew what she was trying to do, more alone time with James. What is wrong with her today?
"No problem, your room is upstairs, first door on the right," James says as he sits your bags down on the floor. As Paige leaves the room, he gives you a shy glance. You start to feel really uncomfortable. You brace yourself for the worst.
"Now that we're alone, umm, can we talk for a second?" he asks. "I kind of have something I've been wanting to get off my chest."
