Lani: The third installment in the countdown to November 5th is here! Of course there are spoilers to episode 25 and volume 7, but there are even hints to the ending, so you are warned! This is from L's POV to the cute kids Mello, Near, and Matt. "He" refers to Light. And I'm thinking this is how I'm going to post my poems from now on, but to let you know in case you don't, the periods between the stanzas are only there to keep them apart and from running together.

Disclaimer: Death Note isn't mine!

Horror

. . .

There lives a horror

Unimaginable;

He consumes like fire,

He chases after the world.

He wishes all foes

Could break down and be dismembered.

He deals the death blow –

A smile like thunder –

.

Chorus –

Cutting through the rain,

It all starts to look the same;

Scattered pieces of a bell

Wish their song to tell –

The silence is awe-invoking,

On my last breath I am choking.

To understand me,

Drop to your hands and knees

And bleed.

.

The dreams left behind

Will grow more than he knows.

His eyes count the time,

But his will be a false hope.

Surrender nothing.

Listen to me, my young children:

Yes, his triumph rings,

But you will show him –

.

Chorus –

Cutting through the rain,

It all starts to look the same;

Scattered pieces of a bell

Wish their song to tell –

The silence is awe-invoking,

On my last breath I am choking.

To understand me,

Drop to your hands and knees

And bleed.

.

Up in a red blaze,

The truth is now unchained;

Don't stand by and wait.

I've given it all,

You've given your all.

Justice deserves all wonder –

Hubris, his blunder –

.

But you will show him

A smile like thunder –

.

Chorus –

Cutting through the rain,

It all starts to look the same;

Scattered pieces of a bell

Wish their song to tell –

The silence is awe-invoking,

On this last breath we are choking.

To understand us,

Drop to your hands and knees;

Confess.

.

There lived a horror

Unimaginable;

And yet

Before the judge it groveled

And bled,

And bled,

And bled.
