"Best Day of My Life" by American Authors

"Ready?"

"Ready."

Thalia turned on the camera as Leo got into the tire. He set it ablaze. Annabeth pulled the wedge out from underneath the rubber. Piper set up the second camera and tossed Jason a green flag.

"It's go time!"

Percy filled the bucket with water as Frank took off in the form of a bird, camera in talons. Hazel adjusted the camera at the bottom of the hill.

Thalia whizzed down the slope with Leo as he flipped in the flaming tire.

"Everything is looking up!"

"Everybody look up now!"

Piper and Jason high fived as Percy doused the tire in water at the end of the hill. Frank released the camera from his talons and flew down to Earth. Annabeth caught the camera and stopped recording. Hazel ended her clip. Thalia leaped off the skateboard, camera in hand.

"Got that?"

"Crystal clear!"

They double-checked their footage.

To any other person, you'd see a boy in a flaming tire.

Perfect.

"A billion hits!" Annabeth screeched.

Piper did a spit-take. "What?"

Hazel bounded over to them. "No way!"

Percy hugged Annabeth from behind. "Legit, guys. this is legit."

Jason's eyes were saucers. "My gods..."

Leo whistled. "What-what!"

Frank whooped. "Yes!"

Thalia smirked. "That's what I'm talking about."

The group got together again at noon. Jason and Thalia made everyone huddle. "Alright, this is a Grace worthy plan. Why? 'Cause we planned it. Here it is..."

"In five!"

"This is it!"

"Let's do this!"

Annabeth and Percy were mounted on Blackjack. Jason grasped Thalia. Leo took his camera, and Hazel set hers up. Frank squared his shoulders and stretched.

"Everyone set!"

"Hades yeah!"

Jason took off, Thalia's arms wrapped around her little brother's strong frame. Frank transformed into a dragon. They set off into the sky. Percy sent Blackjack into the clouds after the trio. Annabeth flicked on her camera.

"Good up there?"

"Definitely!"

Frank blew some fire from his maw. Jason tossed Thalia into the air. She spread her arms out and allowed herself to fly freely, nothing to stop her. Annabeth focused the camera on Thalia as she went through the sky. Frank whirled underneath her, and she collapsed onto his scaly back.

"Woo!"

Frank went into a nosedive towards the ground. The others followed. Annabeth dangled the camera from her wrist as she threw her arms into the air. Percy copied her actions. They laughed as Thalia tumbled to the ground and sent a thumbs up.

"Everyone, we're moving to LA!"

"What?"

"We're famous!"

"No freaking way!"

"Check it out!"

"Wow..."

"Out of the way, I need my stardom to start. Where's my fandom?"

"Leo!"

The seven and Thalia tossed their coins into the air. They held a celebration in honor of their, as Leo calls it, "stardom". Leo pulled off his shades. He winked at a camera that just so happened to be perched on a ledge,

"I'd like to thank all the hot chicks who―"

"Leo! Shut up!"

Leo sat upright in his chair. He realized the others were doing the same. The bartender stared at them. Jason rubbed his neck and stood up.

"Sorry."

The group rushed out of the bar. The bartender picked up the camera sitting on the counter. She went through the videos. A boy whirled in a flaming tire. A girl rode a dragon. The bartender looked up at the retreating customers. She shook her head and put the camera on her shelf. A beep from the device startled her.

"I'd like to thank all the hot chicks who―"

"Leo! Shut up!"
