It could no longer be denied. James was not his son.
Since the day he was born Harry had doubts. How could this fair skinned, silver eyed, blonde child be his?
Hermione had said the blonde hair was from her side of the family. She had said it would grow darker as he grew older, instead the opposite happened. It actually became lighter, to a very familiar white-blonde.
Hermione had said the silvery-blue eyes would change as he grew older. "All babies are born with blue eyes." she had said. She was right, they had changed. They lost all traces of blue, and any specks of green that had given him any hope.
Hermione had said the fair skin was due to the fact he was never in the sun. That was a lie, no matter how many times Harry stuck James outside the child would never get any colour. Red or brown.
Hermione had said James learned the smirk from his Uncle Draco. That was not possible. Although Draco was always smirking when he saw James, it was only when Harry was there and James wasn't looking.
Hermione had said James would be a Gryffindor, just like his mommy and daddy.
Once again she had lied, and once again Draco smirked as the Sorting Hat placed his son in Slytherin.
A/N- Short I know, I know some of you are wondering why didn't Hermione just put some sort of a spell on James. The way I see it, it was a way of confirming she had been disloyal to Harry. It's sort of like both Harry and Hermione were trying very hard to pretend James was Harry's child, and if she had put a spell on him it would be admitting she had done something wrong. Why are they friends with Draco? I know it isn't very clear that both Harry and Draco are teaching at Hogwarts but they are, and it's sort of a bribe thing that Draco had on Hermione. Let him see his son, on friendly terms or have everything exposed about the affair (to both James and everyone else. More of trying to protect James since everyone else probably suspected).
I might extend this, I may not. I'm not to sure. I probably will turn this into a chapter story (like all the way from the beginning) sometime during the summer if I have time. I definitely have enough information to do it heh.
