"Bella?" he murmured it so quietly that I wasn't sure weather or not I was dreaming. "Mmmm?" I groaned from under the covers. "Todays the day you become mine forever" It took me a moment to remember that today was in fact August 13th, my wedding day. And lucky for me today I got to stay inside all day and do practically nothing until it is time for me to go to the ceremony. "Bella, you know you have to get up and move eventually, Alice wants you at my house in an hour." my thoughts at that moment were all jumbled. "I thought I was aloud to stay here all day til the ceremony?" I whined. "well actually Alice has a few last minute things she wants you to approve of" "just tell her I trust in her judgment to make decisions." He looked at me with his beautiful eyes that were ever so persuasive. "Bella, actually one of the things she wanted to ask you about was if you wanted to ditch after the ceremony or stay for the after party, knowing Alice if you give her the decision she will make you stay." I groaned and slowly got up and wormed my way into his arms never once opening my eyes. I inhaled his scent the second it was close enough. Just then there was a knock on the door. "Bella, honey? Can I come in?" Charlie's voice was sounded urgent, but I am sure it was just disappointment that I was getting married. "No! Don't come in I'm changing!" "Oh! Well tell me when you are done then" Edward gave me a quick kiss "see you later" he whispered in my ear. I got changed almost immediately and let Charlie in. "So, Bella I heard that it was a tradition for the father to drive his daughter to her own wedding so get ready to go and meet me in the cruiser." "okay" when I was ready I ran down stairs and hopped into the police cruiser waiting in the drive way. I could feel all the eyes of the town folk watching me in the police cruiser as we went by their houses.
When we were crossing the dusty mountain path that you must venture in car to get to the Cullen's house the cruiser's engine screeched in protest. Suddenly, in the middle of the road, a figure with black hair jumped out in front of the cruiser, Charlie tried to brake, but some how the brakes failed. As we hit the animal I found that it had been an elk and a big one at that. And as the car fell down the steep hill I could feel my life coming to its close.
When I awoke I could barely believe I had survived the fall, I was upside down and had a broken leg and it felt like my head was bleeding profusely because I felt light headed. I heard a low growl coming from outside of the car wreck and when I peered out to see what it was, all I could see was two hungry vampires, Felix and the vampire I despise the most Jane.
