Rainbow Drarry Drabble
Purple
Draco will always remember the day he saw Harry wearing that ridiculous purple shirt, which he hated to admit he looked quite good in.
"Looks like Potter's a queer." He sneered at the Gryffindor.
"And proudly so," Harry laughed in response. Draco's jaw damn near dropped to the floor of the Hogwarts corridor they were standing in.
"I bet that weasel boy is overjoyed." He countered, attempting to cover his own joy at the admittance.
"Um, I don't know if that is the exact term I would use, but he'll get over it eventually. Later, Malfoy," he turned with a wink causing Draco's heart to drop to his feet.
Blue
Never had he seen anything more beautiful than Draco's blue eyes. The way they shined in the light as they gazed into his battered soul was absolutely breathtaking. When he looked into them, Harry didn't feel so broken anymore. All his worries and fears drifted away until it was only him and his Draco. There were no O.W.L.'s, deaths, or you-know-who, only them together in that moment. Harry felt safe under Draco's gaze and that was all that mattered.
Green
Draco loved the rain. He loved the feel of it, and the sound it made as it hit the roof during the blackest of nights. Most of all he loved the way Harry looked in it. It dripped down his black hair onto pale skin reflected in green eyes. Draco's favorite color was green not because it was the color of Slytherin but because of Harry's eyes. As they stood outside the castle soaking wet in the pouring rain, Draco could not help but profess his love for the boy who lived. How happy he was that he had lived.
Yellow
The radio emitted a low buzz as Harry fiddled with the tuner. The young wizard did not enjoy dealing with muggle radios but he enjoyed their music. Playing with the radio made him think of Mr. Weasley and his love of muggle contraptions, but the thought disappeared as the static cleared. A familiar song was playing; a song that always reminded him of someone, someone who was very close to his heart, the boy of his dreams, Draco.
"Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And everything you do
Yeah they were all yellow"
As Harry listened to the song and thought of Draco, he quickly drifted into a peaceful sleep.
Orange
There it was, that damn orange cat, clawing and hissing at a startled Draco. He was surprised it was even still alive.
"Granger, keep that wild beast away from me!" he exclaimed.
Harry only laughed and scratched the old feline behind the ears.
"Well hello Crookshanks, evening Hermione." Hermione smiled and greeted each of them with a hug.
"Scared of a little cat, are we now Draco?" she teased him.
"That's not a cat, it's a wild animal."
Hermione shook her head, amused.
"Dinner will be ready shortly. You two can wait in the den with Ron."
As they left, the two men were followed by a very mischievous Crookshanks.
