I read this fanfiction and haven't been able to find it since. It's Bella and Edward story. Bella is a doctor and Edward just came to work at the same hospital. Things between them are tense because of the sexual tension. I lost the story when Bella got shot by a kid in an alleyway on her way to pick up Emmett (who's one of her best friends) at the airport. If anyone can help me find it, I will be forever thankful. It really was a great story!
